On Friday, August 8, 2025, I was waiting in line at Dolby Live to see Lenny Kravitz. I was staying at Park MGM where both La La Noodle & Dolby Live are located.
Since I am vegan, I searched Park MGM’s website for dining options. La La Noodle was suggested.
Since it was located right next to where I was waiting in line, I decided to grab a bite to go before I went into the concert.
I approached the host stand and told them I wanted to place a to go order. They were very polite & directed me to the to go area.
I approached & was greeted by Vic (I believe that was his name…I ended up in a rage so I could be wrong on the name) I told him I wanted to order from their vegan menu. He handed it to me and I chose the vegan veggie fried rice.
He commended me on being vegan. I thanked the restaurant for having vegan options.
We were off to a good start…until…this man proceeded to go on & on & on AD NAUSEAM about how he could NEVER be vegan!
I’ve heard that countless times in the 8 years I’ve lived this way of life so I shrugged that first comment off.
He then went on to say he HAS to have meat. I was starving and just wanted my food so I let that slide as well.
He CONTINUED to now turn into a nutritionist and tell me about ALL the nutrients the body NEEDS from meat so vegans have to take supplements daily and the body needs creatine and that can’t be sustained with a vegan diet and he once dated a lady that was vegan…and blah blah blah!
At this point I feel a rage rising within me. I kept saying, “Okay…I’ve heard that before….Okay…I’ve been living like this for 8 years…Okay…”
It’s pretty obvious I’m getting annoyed and he KEEPS GOING!
I am literally about to sign the receipt for my order AND ADD A TIP!
In that moment I stopped writing and told him I no longer wanted my order! I wanted a refund and to speak to a manager!
I told him I did not want to hear anything else from him and according to what he was saying I should be dead by now even though I’d been vegan for 8 years!
I went on to say NO ONE wants to hear a lecture about what they choose to eat or not eat! Just take my order! I don’t want to hear his opinion!
I told him if I had a food allergy no comments would be made. He then had the UNMITIGATED GALL to say: Well…I told you I commended you on being vegan!
I was LIVID by that point. I told him I hope the next time someone comes in to place an order he thinks about what he says to them!
Let me also add it was my birthday! I was standing there in a birthday crown and birthday button!
The manager came over. I explained to him what happened. He apologized. He gave me a refund and still gave me my order.
I told him that along with any other sensitivity training they do there they need to make sure the staff knows to be mindful of what they say to people regarding what they eat or don’t eat.
I met 2 other vegan people in line for the concert and I’d planned on referring them to their establishment but instead they should STEER CLEAR of that place.
The ENTIRE EXCHANGE was totally unnecessary. It put a dark cloud over what should have been a very joyous occasion for me.
I will also advise Park MGM about this incident. No one…especially their guests should be exposed to this type...
Read morePart 1......This place... Chef AJ.... I'm almost speechless. When in Vegas, there is no place I'd rather dine. On my February visit, I waited DAYS to visit LA La Noodle as they didn't open until Thursdays at that point, very much worth the wait. Greeted by my fantastic server Tony, I made a few selections from the menu to include; Oxtail Fried Rice, Pad Thai and Potstickers to start. But, I held on to that menu & I'm glad I did... Both were delicious, the Potstickers were thin, well formed with well seasoned, juicy pork & the Oxtail Fried Rice... the rice was cooked to perfection, well seasoned & Oxtail so tender. The Pad Thai as expected was as perfect as the other 2, noodles cooked pefectly, the sauce was just sweet enough with a hint of spice, the vegetables were very fresh and lifted the dish. After a taste so good I requested a recommendation from my server Tony who offered some chefs specials which, of course, were most intriguing. Chef AJ with whom I managed to spend a very good amount of time with, prepared the most delicious hand rolls I've ever tasted. Crisp cakes with a spiced beef that hits the back of your mouth at just the right time.... cooled by the perfect mix of fresh vegetables. Never have I tasted anything like it. Fresh, spicy, spicy, sweet, crispy, creamy... this man can work magic. I would fly to Vegas just to have a meal here, Chef AJs Asian fusion is absolutely well worth it. If youre planning a trip to Vegas, make a reservation, he and his team, they won't let you down.
Part 2..... Our visit in May featured a 100% off menu meal created by Chef AJ. This culinary genius created a meal so incredible I wonder if he can ever top it. I was absolutely speechless. Chefs meal started off with spicy lobster tails topped with the most delicious roe that popped in your mouth at the perfect time to add the perfect amount of sweetness, Chefs crispy handrolls soft in the inside with tender spiced beef that hits just at the back of your tongue with fresh veggies to lighten that heat, and finally ending with lobster & crab fried rice. The rice was cooked to perfection & married perfectly with the sweetness of the crab. The sauce was the perfect level of heat for the tender lobster. This entire meal was phenomenal. When Chef AJ says he will create your meal for you. Let that man put his genius to work and he will blow your mind. La La Noodle is very lucky to have his talent and that of his team. They are gold. *see...
Read moreI think 3.75 stars or even 3.5 stars is more accurate. But, again, Yelp only allows me to select 3 or 4.
Suggestion, in advance of my review. If you dine here with a group, I would suggest chowing on appetizers only. The entrees were not great, other than the Pad Thai, which was great the first time we dined and so so the next time.
Crispy Lobster and crab Dumplings:
Hella good. I mean, so legit. Fried to perfection, succulent and delicious interior and the sauce.... was ok. Gotta hammer out a super good sauce for Dumplings (they are fried balls actually) this good!
Pot Stickers:
The wrappers were likely fresh, as I could feel the delicate texture as I snapped them up with my sticks. Filling is seasoned exceptionally well and I could eat two dozen of these all by myself.
Mongolian Beef:
No good. The beef was tough, the seasoning was weak and overall, epic fail.
Pad Thai:
Super flavorful umami bomb! Lots of wonderful flavors happening, hitting all the right notes. Noodles were super slathered in sauce and that, to me, is perfection. Exceptional dish (first visit, not the second) and I would be more than happy to order this again.
Fried Rice:
Nothing to see here, pretty flavorless
Overall, I really like this shop. I prefer consistency and think there is room for improvement and the chef should already have caught on to this, but maybe he/she is okay with it. But, it's Vegas. In this town, in this business, you either strive for perfection or die and...
