If you're in Vegas and looking for some iconic photo ops and a chance to really soak in the city, you've got to hit up Leo the Lion and the Statue of Liberty replica! First up, Leo the Lion outside of MGM Grand. This guy is massive and just screams "Vegas!" It's super easy to find, right there at a busy intersection, so you can't miss it. Taking photos here is a blast – everyone's doing it, so don't be shy! You can get some really cool shots, whether you're trying to fit the whole lion in or just getting a close-up with his majestic face. It's a classic Vegas landmark, definitely one for the photo album. But the fun doesn't stop there! Just a short stroll away, you'll find the incredible replica of the Statue of Liberty outside the New York-New York Hotel & Casino. Seriously, this thing is HUGE and so well done. It's almost like you've been transported to NYC for a second, but with the added glitter of the Strip all around you. Getting a photo with Lady Liberty holding her torch high is a must-do. You can get some really fun perspective shots here, especially with the "NYC" skyline of the hotel in the background.
Being at both of these spots, especially at their respective intersections, gives you fantastic vantage points to soak in the city vibe. You'll see all the hustle and bustle, the bright lights, and just the sheer energy of Las Vegas. It's a great spot to pause for a moment, take a breath, and really appreciate being right in the middle of all the action.
Overall, hitting up Leo and Lady Liberty is a quick, fun detour that totally ramps up your Vegas experience. Both are fantastic for memorable photos and a chance to enjoy the iconic Las Vegas scenery....
Read moreThe Statue of Liberty in Las Vegas-Located in front of the New York Hotel on the Downtown Boulevard, it is a replica of the Statue of Liberty, half smaller than the Statue of Reality. She is almost one of the symbols of Las Vegas. There are many hotels in Las Vegas, and each one has its own characteristics. It looks different during the day and night, and each has its own advantages. One of the fun properties to visit along The Strip is New York New York. In additon to the expected hotel rooms, casino and shopping, here you will see a fun jumble of NYC landmarks and Manhattan like skyline. This is fun to see and experience when spending time in Vegas.
There are some neat bars, shops and restaurants along the row of buildings that make up New York New York's skyline. We tried Shake Shack, which is a NYC based premium fast-food burger joint that has become wildly popular in the N.E. over the past decade. Burgers were not so good compared to what you can have in NYC but it was fun to try anyway.
We liked the mini version of the Brooklyn Bridge, Statue of Liberty and Empire State building. We also enjoyed visiting the Hershey's World shop, which is much larger than what you might have seen at NYC's Times Square. They have a bakery section at this Hershey's if you want to try some cookie and snack treats.
For those seeking a bit more excitement, there is a rollercoaster attraction at New York New York that winds through the Skyline buildings. This looked like fun but we didn't give it a try.
You can find New York New York next to Excalibur and across The Strip from MGM Grand. It is easily recognisable by its landmark replicas and...
