One of the best views on The Strip!
We wanted to have a nice view of The Bellagio fountain and had originally booked Beer Park-- unfortunately, our reservation got canceled the morning of due to the "restaurant being completely booked for a private event". We asked for recommendations of great rooftop bar Strip views and were overwhelmed with recs for BrewDog. We made a rooftop reservation but could have walked in-- for reference, we were there around 5pm on a Monday. We had a wonderful view of the Strip, specifically the New York, New York Big Apple Coaster which was a lot of fun!
We were seated for happy hour (12-6PM) and got 2 orders of the fried pickle frites as they were BOGO-- and let me tell you, oh my WOW. I am a pickle fanatic and these were easily the most amazing fried pickles we've ever had! On top of the pickles, we ordered a beer ($7) and a margarita ($7). The waiter also gave us a free sample of another beer that we were curious about. I asked to confirm if the margaritas were $7 for margarita monday and the waiter originally told me no, that that was phased out. I apologized but just let him know that it was heavily promoted on their website, so he went to the computer to check (after letting us know it was apparently the first day of a new computer system so he would do his best). After checking with the manager, he came back and said yes, they would honor the deal. Later in the night, I heard the waitresses all promoting it to their tables so I was a little confused as to why it was only "honored" for me but offered to everyone else. But oh well, they were delicious! It's now been one full week since we were there and margarita Mondays are still advertised on their site.
At checkout, I paid the bill on my phone like they asked me to do only to be prompted to pay twice because I apparently still owed $10 for an order of fried pickles. I asked the waiter about it because I thought they were 2-for-1. He confirmed and told me not to pay it and that because of the new system, he would have to drop the order from the bill.. Which left me even more confused because it felt as if he wouldn't have told me that unless I asked, which meant I would have paid more than I was supposed to. I only really asked because I wanted to make sure there wasn't a glitch and that he would get his tip because he truly was wonderful! Just some weird moments here and there.
I recommend BrewDog and will definitely go back on my next trip! The prices, food and atmosphere were truly hard to beat! In total, I believe all of food, drinks and tip came out to around $36 which is hard to beat...
Read moreIf anything, go for the VIEW! The rooftop section of BrewDog is amazing! Located directly across from Park MGM, you get an excellent view of the strip. We went during the day, but I can imagine the sight of the strip lit up at night is even more spectacular. You can make reservations, which we did. But once we got there, it was apparent that I didn't have to since it was pretty empty. However, this was at 2PM on an Tuesday. So I can imagine it being packed at night - so definitely make a reservations.
There are three different sections at BrewDog. Once you go up the elevator from the street level you arrive in the tap room. This is a cool spot with plenty of seating, shuffle board, pinball machines, a huge bar and a merch area. Go upstairs to the indoor rooftop area with more seating. Then lastly, make your way to the outdoor terrace area on the rooftop. Here you will find that amazing view! There is a dedicated bar right there which is a plus.
We tried a few different beers and all were good! Expensive, about $12 a beer but it is Vegas, everything is pricey. Just don't expect typical pint pricing that you find at your local brewery.
A few complaints... the main one being the service. There were only four of us and hardly anyone else in the entire place. Our waitress was pretty quick at first, but once we said we needed a few minutes we did not see her for at least 10+ minutes. We just ordered drinks and one appetizer. It took what felt like 15 minutes to actually get our drinks. At one point I saw them on a tray up at the bar just waiting for her to pick up but she was no where in sight. Then when she finally came she brought the wrong beer for one of us. She said don't worry about it and she'll get another one. Then that took another 5+ minutes... I can see if it were busy but it wasn't. Then we ended up getting charged for the drink at the end - she made it sound like it was on the house. But I didn't let it go to waste haha.
Our app was the crab dip, which honestly didn't have any flavor. Maybe next time I will try an entree.
This was a little ridiculous to me - but we asked for the bill and she said to scan the code to pay the bill. Which I have done before elsewhere, so not a big deal. However, once you go to pay for it, there is a mandatory $2 service fee for paying by phone... So I have no choice other than to pay on my phone and then I am being charger for it? Crazy!
But overall I would go back to this place mainly for the atmosphere and amazing view of the LV Strip. I enjoyed the beer as well. Stop by if you are...
Read moreTerrible service. My wife and I had a reservation for the outdoor terrace and we were actually able to be seated a few minutes early by the hostess (both were great by the way). Went upstairs and were seated and enjoyed the nice views. The restaurant was busy, but not that busy, there were servers standing around at times talking to each other, not ignoring customers, just not slammed. After about 5 minutes of sitting, our server walked by and as she was passing, she said she would be with us in a minute. No problem. We waited, then 5 minutes later someone brought us a carafe of water and then 5 minutes after that she passed by again and said said she would again be with us ina minutes. So still not able to order drinks after 15 minutes... 5 minutes later, she comes to the table and asked us what we would like to order. As if we are skipping the drinks, app, etc portion of the dining experience just going to the meal part. We order order chips and guac which came out in about 8 minutes and a margarita. With the chips, they bring out one set of silverware, when we ask for another set, the knife in the set the bring out is dirty. By the way, we still have not seen the server to order or even received the margarita for 28 minutes. She finally comes over to the table, notices the drink is not there, walks 6 steps over to the bar where it has been sitting and places it on our table. It is now terrible because it has been sitting out for a half hour with the ice melting. We finally get to order dinner... We order. Lobster tacos (which were good but expensive) and the salami and sweet corn pizza. Food comes out in what seems like a normal amount of time for a Las Vegas restaurant on a Tuesday night but 30% of the crust of the pizza crust is so burnt it is inedible and the center of the pizza is cold and the cheese is not even melted. Basically we went there and wasted 2 hours. I get restaurants get busy but seeing other servers not busy, I have no idea what our server was doing. I do think these reviews are padded because while we were sitting there waiting for so long, we had nothing better to do than watch other customers and we could see some of them were also having negative experiences. So while this place may have a nice view, the experience is not...
