I visited Paris and was taken here for lunch. It is a quiet little place with great customer service. Had the enchiladas and have to say it was the best so far of all the places I have ordered enchiladas. The tortas with pastor meat were so good. Best pastor I have tasted. The breading on the flautas was delicious and so crispy. The mocajeta was full of meat, and the grilled cheese pieces were a plus. Would like to return to try other dishes. You have to try this place.

I have to pass the crown on to these guys for our Mexican fix in PTX. Not only do they possess a vast menu with so far all the choices we've samples being full of flavor and of very decent quality. The service is very exceptional, and the presence of the restaurant is very cozy. We cannot wait to come back to try the rest of their menu items, and especially their soon to come rooftop dining area! P.s. THAT QUESO BLANCO IS BOMB!

Very cute restaurant with balcony seating. Being from CA, I have missed Asada Fries and they were able to accommodate my wish. The fries were nice and crispy and topped with everything you would put on nachos. Super yummy!! My kids split the meat, bean, and rice burrito and loved it. They also had some checker games which kept them entertained. Service was great! Would definitely come back.

Beautiful restaurant, excellent customer service and food has good flavor so why give it 3 stars? While the food had good flavor, the menudo I had for lunch was lackluster with the majority of the meat being nothing but meatless bones (5 bones in a single bowl of soup) and not a single piece of hominy despite the photos advertising the special being chock full of it. On top of that, the price wasn't advertised. I figured it would be about 10-12 bucks like every other Mexican food place in town (its just tripe!) but I walked out paying 21.00 for a simple bowl of soup and a diet coke. 26.00 including tip. I've been to 5 star Mexican restaurants in places like Los Angeles and New York and not paid $16 bucks for it. I found the price to be a bit absurd for what I was getting which was falsely advertised on their facebook page. I cant remember the last time I paid 30 bucks for iust me to eat. Its absolutely bonkers. I will come back again to try something else on the menu. Perhaps I will be able to upgrade my review...

If you're driving between Oklahoma and Texas, Mateo’s Kitchen in Paris, TX is an absolute must-stop. This hidden gem serves up authentic, flavorful Mexican food that all my family loves. The vibe is warm and welcoming, with friendly service and a clean, cozy dining space that makes you feel right at home.

My favorite dish is their tacos ahogados—tender tacos drowned in rich, savory sauce that soaks into every bite. They're unbelievably delicious and easily the standout of the menu. Whether you're just passing through or making ride from Dallas, Mateo’s is well...

I don’t usually rate local places but this was so good I have to. The food was extremely good. Service was fine on a Sunday at 5pm. The prices here are more than you will pay at other local Mexican places but the quality is 10 times better based on what we had. Which were chicken and cheese enchiladas. Birria and steak tacos. Rice was not dry and had flavor. Refried beans had a good texture. I’m actually surprised to get this local usually have to go to Dallas or other city for...
