Torres Mochas has actual authentic Mexican food. I had "Bistec Ranchero" - steak morsels cooked till tender, then lightly fried w/ onions, bellpeppers, & jalapeños w/ sides of Arroz (rice), frijoles, & 3 homemade flour tortillas. The food was served artistically, elegantly. It was - appealing. ☆ The seasonings, & "lack of greasiness" were unlike any of the other Tex-Mex I've had before. The green & red sauce condiments were just as striking (I tried them on my food to taste them - the food needed no sauce). 🌶Oooh, so delectable... 🌮 Went back recently & got Shrimp Ranchero — 8 grilled 🍤sautéed w/ tomatoes, 🌶's, & onions. Served w/ frijoles-n-rice +🥤↝ $14.³³ + tip. This is my favorite meal so far❣️ 🌮 The wait staff was engaging, informative, & attentive to my dining needs. 🌮 The sense of the mood was homey & refreshing. 90's style soft Mexican music in the background. 🌮 I will be going back, soon... I've been back several times. always look forward to trying something new. FYI - 🌯 The restaurant is named after a town in Mexico, now San Felipe, formerly - Torres Mochas, 1 of 46 municipalities comprising Guanajuato. 🌯 Went back a 4th time, this time tried the gorditas...
Read moreI walked in, noticed only 4 tables occupied. And only 1 waitress. It took about 5 mins. Before i got chips, & a menu. My drink was a Plamer drink, I then ordered a fajita plate. Took about 10 mins before I got my sizzling order of fajitas. Only 8 thin strips of meat were layed on top. Rice and refried beans were great. But the thin strips of what I thought should have been fajitas, were just tough pieces of meat. This was my first and last stop at this place. Waitress was ok, never offered to refill my small Plamer drink. I observed here sweeping and cleaning the bathroom without gloves. Busing tables, just a little overwhelmed. She was trying but the fajitas, were not fajitas , I identified it by it's meat texture. And will not be returning again. Felted ripped off. If you go, and give it a try, don't order the so called...
Read moreExcellent Clean Authentic. I've eaten Mexican food all over this country, and grew up in the desert-southwest eating fresh authentic food made by wonderful Mexican people that I personally knew. After trying many local restaurants that I've been told "best in town", and leaving unhappy AMD disgusted, I decided to try this tiny little place. Hands down best Mexican food in Paris, Texas, and the Horchata is muy bueno. Wasn't too happy with the price because the online menu is 4 years old and needs updated, but the food is great and the portions are just right. The waitress didnt hound us constantly and it was peaceful and tasty. Its been my experience over decades that with Mexican food the smallest are the best. Not always true, but in this case it...
