The atmosphere is cute and anime dominated, but they have no idea what they are doing :).
Everything is priced like you are getting top notch Japanese cuisine; everything tastes like it came from the freezer of your mundane supermarket.
The onion soup must've had 4g sodium. I made it through one sip. No!
Takoyaki - undercooked and covered in an obscenely (out of balance) mound of bonito flakes
Yakitori - edible, but no hint of Yakitori sauce - I think they just drizzled some watered down teriyaki sauce on it and called it good.
Ramen - dull, unacceptable - was this made from bullion? Note: this was a gyoza ramen, not a tonkatsu. Still, it should've been infused with some flavor and delicacy.
Hibachi - alright - almost no zucchini- almost all carrot. Sauce was pretty canned. If you go - this is probably what to order (but go to a real hibachi restaurant instead).
Service - the waitress didn't really seem to want to be there. At all.
I don't think that this restaurant knows what japanese food is supposed to be.
To the restaurant - you can take this as criticism, or use it as a feedback suggestion for realignment; the people giving you five stars are either your friends, or have no idea what Japanese food...
Read moreIt was my son's 16th birthday and he suggested we go here. He loves anime. I wasn't expecting too much but when I got there, every single item I ordered that touched my lips was delicious from the squid balls to the chicken wings. The sweet chili dipping sauce, the cheese wontons. They were stuffed to the brim. And every single one of those flavors were on point. That was nothing until the noodle bowls came. I created my own and my son. Ordered one spicy hkoga raman. Now that was a bowl of deliciousness, everybody, be careful with your heat. Levels, one man punch might kill you. It is just that one punch in the mouth and it's over. But the flavor never left. I would give 5 stars for the atmosphere, but that it's an easy fix. Everyone rush here and eat this hidden gems. Full of ramen delicious. And last but absolutely not least, the man running the show, it was just him serving us, and he greeted us with a smile and a warm heart. He even made time for conversation, knowing that he was the only one serving six tables that did not change the atmosphere or the service.Go here tip well and remind him he's doing great.Thank you so much for the experience. We will be back over...
Read moreHiratori is a new restaurant in the Parker area that knows how to deliver on great flavors with a broad menu of Asian specialties. I have been twice and have wanted the same dish both times, the Hiratori Curry Ramen. The broth of this Ramen is so special because it has all the great flavors of the curry. It has a nice level of spice and the noodles are wonderful. Also filled with corn, bean sprouts, and a hint of sea week, the dish gets an extra delicious kick from the shrimp, fish cake, and of course the soft-boiled egg.
On my second visit, we decided to try the egg roll appetizer. These egg rolls are different than a lot of egg rolls and they are served cut diagonally across the egg roll. It was great to see that they are also doing their appetizers so well.
The restaurant is decorated with a lot of different collectible items and the music is very fitting for the overall vibe. They are operating with a small staff but they were able to provide good service even on a busy Friday night.
Go and give Hiratori a try and support a great new restaurant...
