I originally have a 5 star review. The food is great if or when they get your order right. I'm a creature of habit which means I want the same thing every time I go to any resturant. I request fried rice no meat with extra egg. I would say 1 out 5 times I get it right. I get charged almost 15$ for a plate of rice that is the same price as if I got meat. So I requested if I can have more egg vs the meat sometimes they will allow it sometimes I have to pay almost 3 more dollars for two eggs the almost half the price of an entire carton. But again the food is great so it's worth it if it's right and give them a tip included. Today however we wait over 45 mins to have the server bring is the completely wrong order for my co-worker and nothing for me. They advised about 40 mins in they were short staffed. Keep in mind there was only about two tables filled when we came in by the time we left there was pretty much someone at every table and they had their food. We have now wasted the entire lunch we had. I'm so disappointed I love the food and literally try to make it here every week but now I'll just cross them off the list of places entirely. Update I wanted to give a little bit of time with a few more visits before adding more stars back. The resturant and staff have really made an effort to make my experience better and my order has been correct each time. I appreciate that they do listen to customers and care about their...
Read moreWas visiting family in the area and was craving for Vietnamese food. Family suggested this place because it’s as authentic as Panama City Beach was going to eat. Ordered egg rolls, chargrilled pork and shrimp with vermicelli, Korean BBQ rice plate, combination pho, and chicken pad Thai with milk tea boba. Egg rolls, vermicelli bowl, and milk tea were amazing! Everything else….not so much. Even the veggies for my pho looked sad. One strand of herbs. One slice of jalapeños, and barely a handful of bean sprouts….I did not even finish my bowl of pho which I was really sad about. Tasted very mediocre and had too much sugar. I’m not too sure if it was rock sugar, but broth was very very sweet. Korean BBQ was too salty and dry so could not eat that. Pad Thai noodles were overly cooked and soggy (forgot to take a picture of it), BUT service was amazing!!! The staff was very nice and attentive. They continued to give refills in a timely manner (rare for Asian restaurants-IYKYK), make sure we were taken care of, and kept apologizing when our food took forever to come out (not their fault-they were busy for lunch). I truly wish the food was better because I would love to return because how great the team was, but if I ever do come back, it’ll definitely be different dishes than the ones I...
Read moreOver we would honestly rate a 5 out of 10. Having eaten at more than several hundred Vietnamese restaurants all over the world we have almost sent it all. No disrespect to this establishment but we will humbly offer some pointers to help. There are 3 vital areas in a Vietnamese restaurant: Banh Mi , Pho, the fish sauce that is doctored that accompanies the Bun thich noung dish.
The Banh Mi we received had quality French bread yet the Do Chua was not at all sour. The bbq meat was not seasoned in a typical fashion but sauted something.
The Pho soup was decent but pho flavor was sorta blan... meat content was ok but the amount of noodles was 50% less than it should be. Vegetables for the Pho were very small...
The Fish sauce mixture for the Bun thich noung was missing lemon and sugar to balance the salinity. The meat was chewy and same blah flavor as the sandwich.
We understand you are trying to be Authentic and that's grear...you are well on your way...just need some tweaks as mentioned about and you'll draw in more customers who appreciate Authentic Vietnamese cuisine.
We wish you the best of luck and we will try again in...
