Hardee's — Restaurant in Parkersburg

Was very rudely denied the first responders discount. I was told that it didn’t matter that I presented my IDs. I was not in uniform or with my squad so I wasn’t getting it. I am a Volunteer Firefighter and EMT. My daughter who was with me is also a firefighter, and was wearing her uniform. Still we were denied. He wouldn’t even look at her or speak to her to verify. Neither of us, nor my husband who is also a firefighter have ever been told that we had to be with a squad, in uniform, or on duty to qualify for the discount. Nor has anyone ever been that rude about denying a discount after the company advertised they offered one. I was unable to get his name, he made sure I couldn’t see his tag. Our cashier was apologetic and it was obvious that she was uncomfortable with the situation, but not in a position to say anything about it. First responders get far less discounts anywhere than other civil/service groups. So when Hardees started advertising that we received discounts with ID we were thrilled. We enjoy dining there and have been very appreciative of the discount since they started it. We have never been denied as we always present our ID as required. Now after me & my daughter were so disrespected simply for requesting a perk that was advertised we will be taking our business else where from now on. To my fellow first responders be warned our discount at Hardee’s (or at least the one on 7th St. in Parkersburg) apparently now comes with hidden restrictions/qualifications they...

My boyfriend went in and got a burger from here while on his lunch break. He went back to work and started vomiting. He had to leave work and come home. On his way home he stopped by too refil his drink due to his incessant vomiting and to let the manager know that there might be something wrong with the meat. The manager told him he couldn't have a drink and that it takes 24 hours for food poisoning to kick in so it wasn't the meat. He was not looking for anything more than a drink and he just wanted to make sure that it didn't happen to anyone else..... just a side note.... its takes anywhere from 30 mins too 6 hours for food poisoning to kick in. He got sick about 30-45 mins later. Needless to say, the situation was not handled properly by the manager and I'm extremely...

This place was clean and functional but the first problem popped up quickly when they were on the breakfast menu, 80% of which is based on a biscuit... and the biscuits weren't ready... and wouldn't be for 8 more minutes. Picked one of the few items on the menu that didn't require a biscuit and was immediately wishing I'd waited for the biscuits. I've never been a big fan of places where the food you're served looks nothing like the picture they posted on the menu. In this case the picture looked like Raquel Welch but what I was served looked like the girl who sat next to me in HS sophomore Spanish class. Pretty much came up short...
