First thing when I got in the door I was snapped at due to my service animal. There was no greeting just being shrieked at. I'm new to Washington, but I have researched the service dog rules and regulations. Washington doesn't require my service dog to wear her vest, so I often let her go without it. Once I got past that first hurdle, then the next battle began. My service animal is trained to sit with her head in my lap. Yeah , it means she has to sit on the seat beside me. Everybody has different disabilities and different tasks their service animals perform. She flat out refused service until I forced my service dog onto the floor. Which triggered a panic attack, so that was fun. By the way, I still hadn't gotten anything to drink or even a greeting. I did speak with the manager, but she was of no help. I even offered to sit back away from people. The manager said no because the waitress would forget to check on me because she has a difficult time remembering. It's not even 8 a.m., and this place is basically empty. It's in a horrible location. Moving onto the food. Lord have mercy. $35 for me and my service animals meal. Mine alone was darn near 20 bucks. I was expecting... well, I don't know really what I was expecting, but this wasn't it. Braised beef skillet is what I ordered, which is basically their roast beef. Was really weird texture mushy but dry. Mercifully, I didn't get the sauce that's supposed to be on it. There was so much grease. The potatoes were mushy as well, and everything was unseasoned. I apologize for this lengthy review, but I'm all about transparency and open communication. I'm not sure how the location down the road is, but surely it's better than this. If I was driving and not on foot, I'd have gone to the other location. BECAUSE of all this, I can't in good conscience give this place anything but 1 star. My experience was horrible.

I'd arrived at 7: 40 and there was four people inside yet the door wasn't open at all and there was not a single person to be seen from up front then the manager who looked half asleep and half dressed showed up and finally opened the door at around 8:00am, the waitress inside was speaking in spanish telling her friend things that really she be left at home or for a conversation in private ( I speak fluent spanish after spending 2 years in columbia) after ordering food I was told to go outside and wait for about 10 minutes or so, I waited for that 10 minutes and right as I was about to go in the waitress who came out rudely told me that I "forgot my order and that this is not a curbside pickup" needless to say I did not assume that at all but I was merely waiting based on the fact that it was a variable of time and was told to wait outside after all, all she was doing was standing around texting on her phone and there were no other customers so it wasn't as if it was a great effort. Nonetheless It was extremely rude the way she went about it and handed my food to me like I was lazy. Yet they can't even open on time. And reading from reviews everybody else is having these problems as well. even though there's a pandemic going on it doesn't exactly leave people with good options or opinions for that matter for a place that wants business or so I assume they do but I could be wrong maybe they would like people to go somewhere else where there is curbside pickup.

Ok I was at this location about 3 months ago and if I remember correctly everything was OK but the food, this time I ordered take-out it was Cobb salad with prime rib so I pick it up go home and sit down to eat and I was floored to say the least. This was not prime rib nothing about it was prime rib , it looked like nothing but hard chewed up grizzle you know that hard fat on the ends of cheap steaks that was about 8 pieces of this hard fat no prime rib no Edible steak and I gave it to my dog and he looked like he was questioning eating. Needless to say I lost my appetite and was furious because I had to rush off to work, I had no time to go back to the restaurant to complain and tell the cook what I thought and as time went by I forgot about it, I sure hope he was let go. Also hope that nobody has the same experience that I did. thanks for listening

Today (3 August 2019) I placed a to go order online though the Denny’s app. Figured since it was a Saturday it would be very busy, which it was. I came to pick up my order roughly 10 mins after the time it stated (it’s never ready on time so we gave them more time to prepare). Customer service was terrible at the counter but I looked past it due to me planning to be in and out the door. WRONG ! When I was given my order is was incorrect. I had instructions on how things should be cooked & they were not followed. It even showed the instructions on the ticket they place on the page. Spoke with a waitress, she took it back to the kitchen. 3 mins later she returns with the same thing nothing has been done to the food like instructed. I speak to her again. Once she returns again with my food it’s now burnt. No exaggeration, it was burnt. 2 other waiters see the issue and immediately attempt to fix it.

Now this is when the problems start. I hear the manager speaking rudely about me and how I’m being a pain about the food. THE FOOD I PAID FOR! I chose not to say anything and when my food finally returns, correctly this time I make them aware that I still haven’t received my smoothie for my order. No one could figure out why it wasn’t made until the manager states they are out of the ingredients. The cashier offer me a refund and I accept. Manager tells him he can’t give me a cash refund it has to go back to my card. Fine. That’s perfectly fine BUT she can’t do it because she has a phone call and she’ll do it later is what she tells the cashier. They ask me to write my name down and the manager will get to it. Unacceptable. I stated I would wait til the manager was done with her phone call ... by the way.. she never had a call. She was in the kitchen area and I watched her bs for almost 36 mins !!! At this point I had enough and stated I wanted to speak with the manager at this moment . She appears and ask me what my issue is ... yes, just like that. I damn near snapped but told her I’m still waiting on my refund. She rolls her eyes, storms off. She returns 15 mins later with a paper showing my online order was adjusted. I then asked for her name. She writes “Kaila” on my receipt. Told me that’s her name. Now funny thing is, they have been calling her Jessica the whole time I was there. The cashier even gave me her last name while I was waiting. She wrote “kaila” but that was the cashiers name! I called her out on the fact that she gave me a fake name and she told me “so what, if you knew it then why ask”.

I’ve been going to this same Denny’s for almost a year. I see the new management just changed that for me. Disgusting individual she is. Rude...

Denny's restaurant # 7863 location 10802 Pacific Ave. South. Tacoma, Washington I've placed a to go order here many times and year ago ate in this restaurant many time, service has always been good until tonight 10-6-2025 7:46 PM. I parked a new pickup in front on the restaurant, my headlights lighting up the interior. There was a man at the counter putting silverware in napkins and rolling them up. I went in and went up to the cash register, nobody came up to seat ne or take an order. I looked at the seating area as nd there were two customers at separate tables eating and the man behind the counter rolling up silverware, he did not look at me. I moved away from the cash register to the devider where the man behind the counter could easily see me, again he did not even look my way. After standing there for about 2 minutes I asked the guy seated at the first booth if there was anyone working there, he just smiled at me. I finally walked up to the guy behind the counter and asked if they had any servers. With out looking at me he said yes and continued rolling silverware. I asked him if he was a server, he finally turned his head toward me and said yes..do you want something? I replied yes I would like to order something to go. He looked irritated but walked over to her a menu. I said I don't need a menu I know what I want and he took my order. Then went back to rolling silverware after entering my order. About 4 minutes went by and a mother with 3 children came in, this man (employee) was out front leading them to a booth in under a minute. What was different? Well it was a small family that came in, BUT, what stood out to me was he appeared to be Hispanic and so was the family that came in. I'm white. Now you tell me what you think. I give them one star for the good food I ordered, no tip, I usually tip even my to go orders but the service was so bad I kept my money and wrote...
