O'Connor's Pub & Package Store — Restaurant in Parkland

I have never felt so disrespected and humiliated in my life. Thank you, ZULMA. I've came to this pub alone with my coworkers before, so I was very taken aback by this particular situation.

I came in looking to have drinks, show my boyfriend the atmosphere, and maybe have something to eat. On this night, there wasn't a large crowd given it was MLK day. I completely understand that in the service industry you need to be patient, but my boyfriend and I felt like brick walls after some time. This was not the issue and I'm not one to pull the race card, neither am I one to feel bothered to the point of writing a poor review, but on this night I came with my boyfriend, who's Haitian, and needing to point that out upsets me because what came after still makes me cringe. We asked the bartender, Zulma, if they were still serving food. Directing her response to my boyfriend, she quickly replies with "well are you going to tip? I have to go back there to make it myself, so if you aren't going to tip, I'm not making it". Priceless.

I work as a waitress, so I can agree it's frustrating to not be compensated for your time and hard work, but it is never okay to speak to a customer as she did, especially with such a degrading assumption. I never leave below 20% regardless of poor service.. neither does he... because karma is real, but I will never give business to someone who can look at people and assume such...

If I could give this bar less than a star I would. I went Saturday night. Bartender was Brandi, was horrible. I was there with a couple of friends having a good time until we decided to ask her for drinks, her attitude was uncalled for and if you hate your job that much please don’t work there. I understand some people look younger than what they are but there is no need to make someone feel like they’re lying after they showed you their ID. It’s like what else do you need? Very unprofessional and embarrassing, I’m sorry I couldn’t convince her enough that she grilled me until we just walked away. Wasn’t sure if that was her excuse not to serve me or what but this establishment needs to take a look at what kind of bartenders they hire. Why do I care that you have been there for years. It’s these type of bartenders who get away with treating customers horrible because they know they will get away with it. I will pass...

Worst experience ever— and I mean EVER!!! As soon as my friend and I walked in, the bartender Justine was acting extremely hostile and screaming at us, demanding our orders before we even sat down. Then, when she took our IDs she accused me of having a fake and being a liar in an extremely aggressive way. She then started showing my ID to other patrons and asking if they thought I was lying too. For context, I am a 27 year old medical professional who has never in my life had a fake ID. She then started interrogating my friend about irrelevant information, all still while screaming and making a scene so that everyone in the establishment was staring at us. I wouldn’t have even minded if she refused us service, had she done it calmly. We ended up leaving without buying anything because she was so incredibly rude and mean. DO NOT EVER GO HERE!!!! Waste...
