Steak 'n Shake — Restaurant in Parma

We went here tonight with a friend who was visiting from florida because we were looking for a chill place to grab a bite to eat and talk, we went in at bout 9:30 and were rushed to order and had to ask 3 times for an extra minute. The waitress then said "we are having our hoods cleaned tonight so we have to close early, (the sign said they closed at 12 and it was probably 9:50 at this point) I'm just trying to get your order in so itll be out quicker. "We ordered 2 shakes and some burgers with coleslaw and fries, the cole slaw came out less than 5 minutes after ordering and then we waited another 20 minutes for our food because they didnt have any fries made and one of our burgers sat in the window the whole time, one of our shakes came out with our food and so did the check, and when I confronted the waitress about our other shake she said oh yea I dont know how I forgot, took the old bill,she brought out the shake and the new check and charged us full price for the shake that she forgot and then brought in a to go cup as a way of telling us to leave I'm assuming, we only came to this one because the brunswick location closed down, and after what I heard from my boyfriend about the mens bathroom and the rushed experience we had I dont think we...

Everything is automated, from the ordering screens to the drink dispenser. You literally have to scan a QR code to fill up your cup. Then, check for the little black specs in your soda because yes, folks, they don’t clean their drink machines and you are definitely drinking mold. We were told that the closing crew must not have cleaned the nozzles the night before but working in food service tells me that it takes much longer for the black goo to start growing. The food was okay. Definitely not was it used to be. My garlic steak burger was drowning in garlic sauce which made it inedible. Now, our customer service wasn’t awful. The employees did take our complaint about the black particles seriously and immediately started cleaning the machine, but once other people started coming in to fill up their drinks, that’s when the employees dropped the ball. Families were standing waiting to fill up their cups while the machine was being cleaned and instead of communicating with these people or putting a sign up, the cook just gets on the overhead speaker and yells “DRINK MACHINE IS CLOSED.” No explanation. No offering to fill up the beverages at the drive thru. I guess the place was clean. But just know Steak ‘n shake is closing for a reason. A good...

The restaurant was dirty. The server that I ended up getting was good. But it took about ten minutes to even get a drink and a waitress. The other waitress was dirty looking and was just sitting at a table talking with a friend. And one of the cooks was doing the same thing. It took them almost 15 minutes for them to even start our food. And it came out cold. But the floors were dirty. And there was only three tables filled in the restaurant but nobody was being taken care of and there were two un-bussed dirty tables. It was overall a gross experience. But the one waitress I did get was pleasant and helpful and seemed like she was frustrated with her co-workers as well. Even management and the other cook were just sitting in the back and when they came up front they were loudly complaining about how they just wanted to leave. And also dirty looks from the other cook and the other waitress because we were looking around for someone. It was very unpleasant. This used to be a very nice steak and shake. But it has definitely gone down hill and if you have kids neither of the claw machines have been...
