Ok, so I have to be either extremely upset or disgusted to even put in any review on a merchant; however, this morning I’m totally disgusted!! I stopped in this morning thinking I’m going to get me a nice cup of coffee with a good sandwich. I arrived at 7:19 AM and stood in line for about 5-6 minutes. During this wait, I noticed “Sam” ( heard him tell his name to a customer), handle several transactions with the same gloves he used to prepare food which is fine if you change your gloves each time. Just when I thought he was about to change, he took off the right glove, changed it, lightly coughed into the left glove which was not changed. At this point I knew I was just going to order coffee. While still waiting to pay for my coffee, the male employee handled a credit card transaction to which he also never changed gloves on either hands. I then paid for my coffee and was about to leave; however, I privately pulled the employee to the side and explained everything I saw. I told him since COVID I’ve been very observant and nervous about eating out. I told him if the health department was here it would have been an issue. His response was, and I quote, “we all have to die sometime”! At this point I left. I was so disappointed and disgusted. I hope the owner takes corrective action because that was ridiculous. Wow, really impressed with this deli. It was my second time enjoying their Italian Hero sub today and again, I was very satisfied with this menu item. The people who work here and manage the store are very nice and the store is clean and well-stocked with fresh items. You can tell when you take a gander at the meats and cream cheese spreads, etc. behind the glass that this place is the real deal when it comes to delis and fresh bagels. I like the layout of this venue and appreciate that there is an ATM on site. The subs come with your choice of potato or macaroni salad, as well as a pickle. I found the potato salad to be deliciously tangy (like a spicy mustard flavor) and very complementary to the sub sandwich. The bread is hearty without being "hard," and all of the meats and the cheese were piled high. Just the right amount of oil and vinegar, too! Best bagle sandwich ever. I was up in the area on a training and as anyone who has seen my reviews I'm all about my breakfast so I had to stop. I am so glad I did. I have tried hundreds of breakfast deli spots all over and this one finally knocked off my #1 place. Shame I'm over 2 hrs away. So the food. I had a sausage, egg, and cheese on an egg bagle. The bagle had such a good texture to it. Soft and crisp on the outside and very flavorful. Now I know what a great egg bagle should taste like. The eggs were done perfectly as well as the sausage. All were very well cooked and seasoned. The only thing you guys are missing is hashbrowns! I never understood why a bagel deli spot would not have hashbrowns.
