Bonchon Parsippany — Restaurant in Parsippany-Troy Hills

Quite disappointed and my gripe is with the location operationally. I placed order early saturday for pick up next day 11:10am Sunday. I did not get a confirmation email but saw order in my online account and pending cc charge. I called location and spoke with rep Aliyah who advised she did not see it but would check with manager. To her credit she did get back to me promptly to confirm her mgr saw order even though she could not. I then stressed my concern that i could pick up at 11:10am as I read review stories of delays. The location is also 20mins out for me , and I had other errands to run for lunch event so was reason for my confirmation. She advised that the folks from next day shift should be able to make good on it since her manager could see it. Fast forward to Sunday and I am there at 11:10am and it was closed and signs said not open to Noon. I peaked through the window and saw the space itself was a bit of a mess as it needed a good sweep but thats another story. I don't understand why the Bonchon website would offer a pickup time for when the location was closed. I was also annoyed the rep didn't pick up on the bad pickup time when i specifically asked about 11am Sunday pickup (although i will give her benefit of the doubt that maybe she was new on the job). I give this place two stars, because i've ordered from them before and the food was fine and didnt have a problem with pick up. For this instance alone, it would really be one star for rep calling me back promptly.

Oct-28 update.. I find that I've now been charged for my order which I had canceled and never picked up. I had cancelled my order over the phone on day of with a representative at the location at 11:45am (prior to open still but someone finally picked up phone after multiple calls). The MIDLAND PARK location, puts this one to shame tbh. Called 12min ahead was told food will be ready in 15min.

1st off, why is the LUNCH combo $10 when it only comes with pickled radish?? AND if you want WHITE rice as your combo side, you have to pay an extra $1 for that "COMBO". So is that really a combo? Radish and Chicken, you can decide for yourself...

2nd: I got there at the exact time I was told, food was cold. Their packaging vs Midland, makes this one unenjoyable to eat for there are too many packages. Also Midland COMBO comes WITH EITHER RICE OR FRIES for $11.71 and it's packaged together nicely and with the addition of rice it comes to $12...

After I picked up my food, I was given no napkins, ketchup, or utensils, had to go back in and wait another 5 ACTUAL MINUTES for those things because the cashier was on the phone w/ angry customer.

In conclusion, I paid $15 for cold fries & chicken had to WAIT more than the allotted time. AND the food isn't as good as MIDLAND PARK LOCATION. When I could've just went there and got FRIES,CHICKEN, AND RICE for $12 and self served my own condiments and utensils for they have a mini bar for that stuff. I will not be coming back to this location sadly and probably won't recommend either. GO TO MIDLAND PARK

Had bonchon chicken a year ago as a takeout. Missed it so went back with my family to dine in. Wasn’t sure if they offer dine in so I called to make sure. A young lady answered the phone and she said yes we do. So we showed up and we placed our order. We picked out a few items from the menu to get the full experience. The employees were very helpful in guiding us with our choices. They were familiar with the menu. Advised us not to get it the spicy sauce which they were right about. The spicy is Very 🌶

Service was great from employees, however looks like the management is doing horrible. For dine in they did not have utensils. 🧐 ok, how am I going to eat the bibimbap? The employee got very uncomfortable telling me that they were not restocked and nothing was sent to them. So, I just went next door to LAYENDAS and ended up getting forks from them.

Honestly when I found that the management is not restocking the forks I start wondering about the kitchen management. Is it clean? Is the oil being changed on time? Who is handling my chicken? 😒 is the chicken fresh? Sometimes small things make a big difference. If you are in good business I think a fork is a minimum 🙈
