When it comes to a flavorful fusion of Peruvian and Mexican cuisines, Garibaldi Peru-Mex restaurant undoubtedly tops the list in the Pinebrook, NJ area. The eatery presents a well-seasoned palate of dishes that are a testament to the rich culinary traditions of two vibrant cultures.
From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by the friendly staff, setting the tone for a delightful dining experience. The atmosphere is welcoming, blending the warmth of a family-run restaurant with the lively spirit of Peru and Mexico.
One of the hallmarks of Garibaldi's menu is the great value it offers. Portion sizes are generous, leaving you satiated without putting a strain on your wallet - a balancing act that's becoming increasingly rare in today's restaurant scene.
Our household favorites include the Red Snapper and the Chaufa - the restaurant's version of shrimp fried rice. The former dish is masterfully prepared, letting the fresh, succulent fish be the star of the plate, while the latter is a harmonious blend of textures and flavors that never fails to please. However, the culinary brilliance of Garibaldi doesn't stop at these dishes. In fact, we haven't had a single disappointing meal since we started frequenting the restaurant, an affirmation of the consistent quality and taste they deliver.
So, if you happen to be in Pinebrook, NJ or nearby, don't hesitate to give Garibaldi Peru-Mex a try. It promises a dining experience that's worth every bite, one that leaves you looking forward to your next visit. This hidden gem is more than just a restaurant - it's a celebration of authentic Peruvian and Mexican flavors you wouldn't want to miss. Great food along...
Read moreBeen here maybe 3 or 4 times since i live close. More disappointing than happy. Had the birria tacos and house special chaufa(customized item not on menu ) pictures are provided. Birria tacos weren't really birria tacos.......They took their regular tacos and put a couple of drops on the outter shell(so you can tell the double shell wasn't completely dipped ....no cheese cooked on the shell...NO actual "birria experience" except for the consome that lacked flavor and wasn't hearty at all (no meat in the consome) And the lady asked me if i wanted cheese , agreed to it, and they still didn't put any cheese in/on my tacos. I couldn't do anything but laugh.
Chaufa was a custom made order which I appreciate they accommodated my request, but it was very disappointing. Although they included extra onions, cilantro, and limes (I feel like that was for the tacos but I could be wrong) I've seen more inviting looking chaufas and they didn't even bother to give me any aji Verde sauce(green sauce)! I don't even usually eat chaufa without it. However, last time I did have their green sauce it didn't live to expectation anyways....All in all this will be...
Read moreSmall location that delivers big flavors, generous portions, great options for a reasonable prices and BYOB. The Chips and Guacamole has bits of tomato and celantro; crunchy, creamy, and fresh flavor. The #69. Lomo Saltado de Carne has an incredible taste; savory semi-sweet onion flavor with a side of green mayo horse radish sauce on a bed of crispy fries with a turned over bowl of white rice. Nice presentation. The #75. Jalea Deep Fried Fish and Seafood has a beautiful light batter on fish fillet portions, shrimp, and squid with yucca wedges (like potato but better!) accented with lime quarters and a side bowl of red onions relish that adds a slight tang. The key is to taste all components in a bite! The fried plantains were sweet and made perfect. We enjoyed our unique surf and turf meal with leftovers to take home. Currently, they use foam packaging; hopefully in the future they will use more...
