Blaze Pizza — Restaurant in Pasadena

Really love this location and have been eating Blaze for years...

Not a fan of the Sat night crew working yesterday...

They all seemed to have a chip on their shoulder and I did all the work of being friendly and courteous. Not ONE person that I dealt with and I dealt with FIVE of them smiled or displayed basic customer service skills.

The guy who asked for what I wanted kept putting the pen lid back on and passing my paper (and me) to the next step. He told me to tell the person who handed me my pizza what finishes I wanted and again capped his pen and passed me on, which is never how it has been done in the many years I have eaten Blaze. As the next person grabbed that paper and asked me what sauces, I clarified that I needed the gluten free crust, to which the first guy accused me of not telling him, to which I reminded him that I told him to not put that pen cap on... the guy who I was now dealing with also looked at me accusingly, like I was pulling a fast one and begrudgingly changed the crust and put on my sauce before gladly passing me off.

The next girl tried her best but I think was under the influence of her sour work mates. The woman who rang me up also never smiled nor tried to see what all I wanted on my order and I think she was the manager on duty.

Then I get my pizza and I do tell that young man about my finishes and he grabs the pizza back and plops a few arugula leave in the middle, which I spread out and I ask for a few more which he did all while kinda staring me down like I was the source of all the problems in his world....

While the place was SLAMMED this Sat night around 8pm, I have always dealt with efficient, respectful and people who do want to serve you at this location, this was quite discouraging and I will think twice before I get food here again any time soon.

Some basic customer service skills, smiles, etc need to be trained into this crew or find those who can and will SERVE customers without the consistent put out attitude this team...

Re-re-edit Had to take another star away,, the box came without a safety seal on box,, had to throw away!! IM NOT GIVING IT TO MY BREASTFEEDING WIFE! DURING A PANDEMIC!! STILL, Not much to say, except extremely inconsistent. It seems like everything is in place for an amazing pie everytime. But one time it's burnt, another under cooked, or wrong something. Tonight as you"ll see from the pictures, this red sauce, vegan cheese, pepperoni and Applewood bacon pizza might have been good if there was cheese, at least over the outside half of the pizza. And I was surprise ordering it for my pregnant wife. She was happy and grateful but ARGH!!!! It's great that there's vegan cheese but put it on the pizza!! I have no faith in this place getting a pie correct 2 times in a row.

WILL NEVER BE BACK!! AT LEAST 6 OUT OF 10 TIMES HERE, MORE LIKE 7, HAVE BEEN VERY VERY...

I was served by 2 young ladys tonight around 10 pm who non stop laughed and talked along with another coworker. The 3 where non stop laughing and making jokes while taking my order which felt unprofessional. While I sat to eat with my family the 3 made inappropriate and very loud jokes repeating the “ Hawk Tuah “ phrase that is commonly used to refer to sexual behavior. I alongside my husband and other customers heard as they repeated it very loudly and made us feel uncomfortable as there was children present ( im sure they didnt understand but the insinuation and the lack of shame repeating that knowing they are at work with customers should be embarrassing! )

A healthy relationship between coworkers is nice and makes working fun but there is a line and it was crossed today. Very...
