I finally made it to the very first Cinnabon Swirl location in Pasadena, California and WOW — it’s everything I hoped for and more. If you love Cinnabon and Carvel ice cream, this place is basically your dream dessert mashup come true.

The Bonini is a MUST — it‘s a warm, gooey Cinnabon roll pressed like a panini, with creamy vanilla ice cream melting in the middle. My husband also tried a Swirl Sundae, and it was just as delicious — the soft serve and toppings pair perfectly with that classic Cinnabon flavor. They’ve got everything from ice cream sandwiches and pints to frozen cakes you can take home. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and the place itself is cute and clean — exactly what you'd want from a dessert spot.

Wow, I stumbled into the sweetest new spot in Pasadena (pun 100% intended 🍦✨). This place is adorable—like, take-a-selfie-in-the-corner adorable. The staff were total gems and even let me taste-test the ice cream flavor I had my eye on before I made the commitment (because choosing ice cream is basically a lifelong decision). The Cinnabons? Ridiculously good—I may or may not have blacked out in a frosting haze. And when I spotted Carvel, my beloved east coast treat, right here in my hometown, I squealed like a kid at Disneyland. As an east coast native that loved to LA and missed carvel I was super excited for this! Drove from West LA and was met with bad customer service and employees that acted as if my presence was an inconvenience. Not to mention as my hand is out to receive my cone the staff puts in some weird holder and pushes towards the cashier so as it’s melting I can’t get it until I pay? Weird.
