This review is just based on a logistical point of view as a delivery driver, have not tried the food. This location takes an extremely long time to make order regardless of they are for delivery, pick up or ordering to go( no dine in due to covid) . They always only have 3 people working and no more. They use atleast 3 delivery apps..ubereats,doordash and postmates. Each one on their own state unrealistic delivery times. Expect to have items delivered at about an hour to 90 mins. Each time I arrived to pick up an order, they take forever. This is not indicative that they are popular. It is mainly due to their lack of prioritizing and quality. Everything is made to order and made fresh, so that in itself is not a prime situation for delivery. That with them not hiring or not utilizing another person doesnt help...so in the meantime if you are using a delivery app to order do not follow the estimated delivery time on the app they are way off...and if you do order from here make sure to tip good, cause if you dont I guarantee that your order will stay there for a good while and get denied and denied until either you cancel or the restaurant does, and dont blame the drivers for the late or delayed delivery.again this restaurant is not set up to manage their to go orders and honestly im dumb founded that many restaurants havent created better systems to streamline their orders.Better yet if you want to better support the restaurant go in person or order over the phone and go pick it up yourself. We are all in...
Read moreI've had a couple of disappointing interactions with one of the young male employees, and I wanted to share my experience. Unfortunately, his customer service skills are lacking, and he seems to have a bit of an attitude. Yesterday, I ordered the shrimp and pork spring rolls, but when I took a bite, I realized they were missing the pork. I brought them back to him and politely asked if he could remake them correctly.
To make matters worse, when he remade the spring rolls, he only gave me two instead of the three that come with the order. When I asked him about the missing roll, he claimed that I had already eaten it and refused to make another one, getting defensive and argumentative. I explained that he had messed up my order initially and should just correct the mistake, but he persisted in arguing with me until I requested to speak with his supervisor. Only then did he reluctantly agree to make the third roll. Unfortunately, that same day I fell ill with FOOD POISONING , and I'm certain it was from eating those spring rolls, as they were the only thing I had consumed that day.
I've always enjoyed dining at this establishment, and I was hesitant to share my negative experience. However, after falling ill with FOOD POISONING , which I strongly believe was caused by the spring rolls I ordered, I...
Read moreIt's great quick eats comfort food adapted to local palates. Spring rolls are fantastic (but their peanut sauce are not exciting) and the bánh mì are good - freshly baked bread (rolls or baguettes), fresh veggies, and good portions. I just wished they had a slightly better sandwich spread, provided a more traditional chicken option (instead of BBQ or lemon grass), and offered a pate add-on option. In addition to its charm for being a locals' favorite they also sell beer and their wonderful staff are trilingual (Vietnamese, Spanish, and English). Their greasy pastries (sesame seed balls) behind the glass window in the front are deceitfully delicious and totally recommended. There's some street parking out front and tight parking in the shared back lot-- just drive slowly as you enter the back lot from the side driveway due to random foot traffic and parking lot acrobatics. Prices have gone up and they no longer offer buy 2 get 1 free bành mí anymore. Instead they offer free iced tea with 2 bành mí at $6.50 each. We're all victims of inflation but I'm so glad this place is still around. Fyi: they have other incredible hot food items too. Pro-tip: call your order in advance. Phone orders are ok!
