Employee =(Jae) should have wrote his name more throughout didn’t realize my review would be this long. Short version the place has amazing customer service the food smells amazing and I will definitely be dining here in the near future. -Uber Driver.
Okay so I think I should start off by saying I haven’t tried the pizza today but the customer service was so amazing I had to leave a review.
So I take customer service super serious because anytime I have a customer service job I go above and beyond for the customer. Enough glazing myself but I’m extra critical on it and seeing above and beyond service always makes my day. Enough yapping though I was the Uber eats driver and when I entered the building right away I noticed one of the workers was being super on point talking with the guest. He was really thanking him for coming in and it seemed liked they were invested in a really good conversation almost like they had been friends forever. The way he extended his gratitude for the customers visit was as if the man was a food critic or influence like David Portnoy but no this man was just a normal customer. That really caught my attention. Not to mention the amazing atmosphere. I instantly checked out the pac man machine and felt like this was one of the coolest pizza shops I’ve been in. And I’ve been in about 5 really cool Pizza shops😂. Anyways I was waiting in line with a person ahead of me who was in the process of ordering when the employee I mentioned earlier makes his way behind the counter. I was assuming he was just going to the back but no instantly with a smile he greets me and asks me how he could help me. I informed him I had an Uber order and he went to the kitchen to get it. On his way out another employee almost collided with him and both of them immediately apologized and shared a laugh. It’s great seeing the employees get along. It shows more of the good atmosphere of the place. When the employee gets back he asks me if I have a pizza container to keep it hot and I say maybe but maybe not. He tells me that the restaurant would be providing me with one for me to keep. I was actually blown away by that. Never have I had a place do something like that.
It’s not like they cost a fortune but the fact that they’re willing to give them out to all the drivers that don’t have one says a few things about them. Most importantly it shows how much the owner cares about making sure their customer has a quality pizza no matter who may be delivering it. I have restaurants all day who don’t care and you can tell by their packaging. They just simply blame it on the Uber driver and I do have the proper warmers to carry food and keep it warm or cold I just hadn’t gotten the pizza one since I started doing Uber again recently and haven’t found them in a store. Anyways that’s amazing that the restaurant does that! The owner truly cares for all customers! The employee and I shared a quick little joke which made talking with him feel all the more natural. From his tone to his smile to how he carried himself his customer service was on point and you could tell this employee was happy to be there and happy to serve which is really rare to find nowadays. When I go into restaurants it’s important to me to see how they treat their Uber driver because you know if they treat their delivery people good then they’re definitely treating their customers just as good if not even better. To the owner if you read your reviews this is not an employee you want to lose. It smelt amazing the whole ride to the customers house! I’m pretty sure I found my new pizza place. The employee’s name is Jae maybe I’ll write it at the top since I lacked to mention his...
Read moreThere is a Mountain Mike’s Pizza in the small town where I’m from and they were always known as the best pizza in town with a very unique taste and great quality. I’ve lived in Hollywood for a few years and every now and then I would get the craving for Mountain Mikes but the closest one happens to be THIS one which is about a 30 mile drive (there and back) which was a bit of a journey for me so I’ve held off, mostly just waiting for an excuse to be in the area anyways so I could stop by. However, the beginning of January I had received advertisements for their buffet which was only $14.99 for all you can eat pizza. For my girlfriend Maria and I, that seemed like the best reason possible to hit the road. The first week of January we had decided to have a special little trip to this Mountain Mikes and it was unbelievable. The pizza tastes exactly how I remembered it from my hometown, unbelievably delicious with a variety of pizza to choose from for the buffet, with a salad bar and potato wedges to go on the side, THEN they also would bring out an unbelievable dessert pizza that tasted like a cinnamon roll but shaped like a pizza, it was remarkable to me that this was only $15. This buffet also includes fountain drinks which for me was just incredible because they had a Horchata soda fountain which I didn’t expect much from but it was actually some of the best Horchata I had ever had, I had to have consumed at least a gallon in my time there.
Already, you can see that this experience is just unbelievably amazing which is why I think you will be able to understand why Maria and I had decided to come back here every single week since then to enjoy it over and over again.
But the truth is that the best part of the experience wasn’t any of that, the best part came from Waldo and Jae who worked there every single day that Maria and I had came by. They were incredible and so friendly from the moment we came in the door, they were so nice and kind to everyone who came in EVERY single time and every single day we were there. They would talk with us and see how we were doing and just check in on us from time to time to make sure everything was perfect and it always was. They were even so kind as to check with us when there weren’t too many other customers and see if there was any kind of pizza we would like to request for them to add to the buffet. As nice as they were to us, it also made me so happy to see how they would interact with one another and the other employees, they’ve fostered a very friendly and open work environment for everyone involved that I believe is essential to making an incredible establishment.
They made the experience unforgettable and made Maria and I both agree that the only pizza we’ll ever be getting is from...
Read moreWe have been to the mountain mikes in brea, but we were in the area and saw a new location show up so decided to give it a try to see if it was consistent. It's midrange pizza prices so there are some expectations. I got the pineapple chicken luau. I do judge based on the paper towel test which back in school those cafeteria pizzas... the grease you could soak up. This passed the grease test without problem. It passed the cook test as well since it is a thicc pizza it should be cooked all the way through and whatever ovens they're using seems to be doing the job since the underside of the pizza isn't burnt but still has a nice crisp to it while the middle is nice with tiny chew. Flavor was good, consistent, pineapple and chicken balanced nicely without chicken being dry.
The salad bar was a nice bonus since all the veggies were cold and enjoyable on a hot summer day like the weather we've been having. Also ordered the churros which was really nice and crispy but dusted in too much cinnamon sugar which a few bites tasted like the cinnamon challenge, so dust off them churros before you dig in! Service was ok, they're just opening so I expect certain...
