Roll Em Up Taquitos - Pasadena — Restaurant in Pasadena

I absolutely love Roll ‘em up taquitos and I’ve had them from a few locations like chino hills, bell garden, Victorville and even Irvine when it was open. I live in Pasadena and was elated when I found out that there’s a roll em up in Pasadena. I went the first time, I was disappointed. The taquitos was all dough no filling. Flour wrap with minimal filling burnt to a crisp. I told myself I’m gonna give them more chances. I went back again few weeks later.. same story, barely any filling. It’s like they’re trying to use as little ingredients as possible and make money. I went back again after a couple months.. which was couple days ago.. the employees there a girl and a guy were one of the least passionate and enthusiastic people I’ve ever met in my life. The taquitos were absolutely DISGUSTING. They were soggy and dripping with seed oil. Barely any filling. Every bite made me want to throw up. It was soaking with oil. Their red hot sauce.. was OVERLY WATERED DOWN. Why would you do this to your customers? Do you want to fail as a business? It’s like you’re begging to fail? Why are you hiring people that don’t give a flying rats ass about how they’re treating your customers and how they’re making the food? It’s hard earned money. I will never return to this location and will warn everyone I know.

It’s pretty expensive. We tried all combos of taquitos. The filling is lacking. I remember thinking how much empty space was in the taquitos. Dipping sauces were solid- can’t go wrong and low cost add ons.

The street corn needs lime. I’ve had better street corn at street stands and for cheaper.

The horchata is good.

The fries are good and crispy and loaded. The beef on it was sussy, good flavor but it was neither ground beef nor steak pieces.

The doughnut was good.

Overall 3.7/5. Wouldn’t road trip here but my girlfriend would so I would. We agree the value for money ratio is a little low because the filling was lacking and tortillas are cheap to get.

I almost wish I hadn’t discovered this place—because now I’m hooked! Their taquitos are made with such fresh ingredients, and it shows every single time we stop by (sometimes twice in one weekend). What really sets this spot apart from most fast-food establishments is the love and joy you feel from the staffs.
