I’m honestly confused by the positive reviews. The restaurant was one of the few nearby, located up a large set of stairs, and the atmosphere felt more like a doctor’s office than a café.
Some menu items seem affordable at first, but add-ons are pricey — my custom omelet ended up costing around $20 after $2–$3 charges per ingredient. Unfortunately, my veggie omelet also had a strong fishy taste. I ordered an unsweetened matcha, but it arrived full of sugar; to their credit, they did kindly remake it when I mentioned it.
The most frustrating part, though, was the lack of accessibility. I’m recovering from surgery and couldn’t walk, and the handicap access was difficult to find. My partner had to carry me and my scooter up a flight of stairs. When we got inside, employees were sitting in the designated disabled seating area. We initially sat at a regular table, but staff then told us my scooter was blocking a walkway (that no one was using) and asked us to move again after relocating their own staff.
Overall, it was a disappointing experience — both in food and...
Read moreI came here for a breakfast with my boyfriend and friend and the staff were super accommodating in offering us a table outside since inside was full at the time. Since all the outside tables were meant for two people, the waiter offered to put to tables together for us and bring us water. Even after moving everything for us, he came back and let us know when a table inside opened up so we had the option to move inside, which we took. Overall the staff was built for customer service, all smiles and super accommodating. The food came within a normal wait period and looked amazing. The actual taste was decent. I ordered a chia, banana, cinnamon, date smoothie which was amazing. It tasted almost peanut buttery in thickness and slight sweetness though the ingredients looked so clean. I also ordered the salmon omelette which was a surprisingly tasty combo. It came with salad and bread and I added avocado to mine. I only took points off from atmosphere because the location was slightly cramped so getting in and out of the seats were a...
Read moreWonderful wonderful wonderful service. In particular the Latinx Gentlemen who was kind enough to help us get set up at a table. He was proactive, asked how many in our crew, and then helped clear the table to make us feel welcome. This cafe you order at the counter, and then seat yourself should a table open up. He was awesome. The whole team seemed great. Great service!
The menu was nice and well balanced. The food was good, and everyone was happy with their dishes. Nothing mind blowing but everything was well done, and it was fresh. We got a mix of things, salmon avocado toast, waffles, French toast, coffee. Etc.
The is a free lot just south/behind the restaurant. Also street parking!
We were there around 9:45am on a Saturday, and it was pretty packed, but we were able to get a table for 4 within 5-10min. It dropped off a bit around 10:30...
