The employee behind the counter was pleasant I ordered two items, of course coffee, cold brew, and peanut butter cookie. The coffee was great, however the cookie is not their thing..it tasted more like a hard sugar cookie. After one bite I decided to return it.
There was a long line as I waited, and there was only Two employees working, one taking customer's orders other making drinks, finally, I reached the front of the line, as I was getting ready to decided on what to get, this man out of no where began to place his order, I politely, said excuse me, as he finished his order, he looked at me as if I wasn't standing there, and I said the line is here..where a woman who was in line after me. He played DUMB.. as he looked at me, and at the employee. The employee played dumb as well, since he was the only one taking customer's order, and didn't even tell the man who cut to the front, to wait in line. Then the man cut infront of the woman waiting to place her order after me!! Really...
After this experience, I will not come back here to spend my money, and I will go to STARBUCK for my coffee and pastries, which taste a lot better then what...
Read morewow definitely the most independent Peet's, and makes me wonder if it's just the city culture... Because its sister store on the other side of the Pasadena has the most unfriendly barista.
Came in on a late Monday afternoon for a cup of coffee. Not much greetings from the barista and the lady behind the counter. There's only one brewed/dropped coffee which I did not like and decided to order an espresso after one sip. Should've asked for a sample first. Nonetheless, neither of them cares about how I feel about the coffee, nor the coffee is. Both quickly went to the back room and saw no more.
P.S. the Las Hermanas is on the high end of the "bright" side (sour taste) and no nutty tone. Should've asyk for something else. But then again, the barista already states that they only serve what's from the machine. And this place doesn't seem like the kind of place that will offer a pour over. So disappointed (with the...
Read moreI come to this coffee shop because of the atmosphere it is always warm and the dark interior lends itself to that. The coffee is also great.a couple of weeks ago I tried the Havana cappuccino but asked that it be made more like a latte. Less foam. It was excellent. Micro foam with a dash of cinnamon and sweetness from the sweetened condensed milk. It was perfection. So I went back, asked for the same thing. This time the guy clearly didn't care how it came out. Sadly the drink reflected that. It was about 1/2 inch from the top and no sweetener and a clump of cinnamon on top. Less foam doesn't mean less drink. I have to mention that it was a girl who made it the first time. If I go back I will be checking to see who is on bar. For the food I did have the waffle sandwich. Be aware it doesn't come with egg but very tasty...
