I saw the grand opening deal for this restaurant online and decided to eat dinner there with some friends but I wish I hadn’t. We got there and joined the Yelp waitlist physically on the iPad (no option to join online). We waited to get seated for 15 minutes which was fine and then got a table. We were hungry and ordered on the paper menu quickly but then sat around for about 15 minutes while the servers told us to wait for our assigned server to order. We had to ask for wasabi and ginger and for tea options. For the wasabi and ginger, they give a shared portion for the table instead of individual ones like nicer sushi places. For the food, the appetizers come out before the sushi. My fiancé ate a piece of unagi sushi and there were several large fish bones that could definitely be a choking hazard so be careful. We finished the first round and ordered a few more things. We got our appetizers quickly but then had to wait for more than 30 minutes for the 6 salmon nigiri ordered to come out. It was funny because, while eating our appetizers, the server told us that the nigiri would come out within 5 minutes and so we waited. Thirty minutes then passes by and we asked another service about the nigiri and she tells us she talked to the sushi chefs and it would be out in 5 minutes. And another 10 minutes passes and we asked the first server and she said she would check. They kept telling us it’s because they just opened, but wouldn’t they want to make a good impression while they’re doing their grand opening? Unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be back. Also their rolls were falling apart and had too much rice. Also we asked for a tea refill for the table and they brought one cup out and it took another inquiry for more cups to come out. Eventually someone brought the tea pot over to refill. I would recommend Aiken any day over this place - same price, more options, better rolls and...
Read moreI don’t write many reviews but this really bugged me. Just finished lunch here and it was quite an unpleasant ending. The food was alright but it was more the service. A server added a charge of edamame that we did not order or know of. Each bento box comes with a small batch of edamame but mine came without (I was eating lunch with my mother and saw hers came with some); thinking it was a mistake I was about to ask a busser if mine was coming separately but she suddenly brought dropped a bowl of it on our table. Thinking it was complimentary (some restuarants do it) or it was to come with my bento box we started eating it. In the end we didn’t know it was a separate order for another table. No one came to notify us or stop us. When telling the waitress she argued with us and even accused us of taking it from the busser. Which is unbelievable when it was the busser’s fault that it was dropped on our table and was never told it wasn’t actually for us. Thank god my mother took a picture too of my bento box missing the edamame as she didn’t believe us arguing it came with the bento for sure. I would not be visiting here again. She ended up begrudgingly refunding the edamame after arguing with us for about 5 minutes still accusing us of trying to steal the beans LMAO ridiculous when edamame isn’t that desirable. I could’ve literally said I didn’t eat my bento. Anyways, terrible attitude and service from this waiter. If going here, be prepared to having to pay and get shamed for a...
Read moreHad an amazing experience overall at this spot for their Sunday brunch All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE)! For $40, the value is very competitive, and I would definitely recommend it.
The highlight for me was the sushi itself. They get the fish-to-rice ratio just right, with generous portions of fish and smaller amounts of rice. This was a huge plus, as it allowed us to sample a lot more from their abundant menu without getting full too quickly.
The service was another standout feature. The staff was incredibly attentive, and our orders arrived impressively fast, usually in less than five minutes. A practical bonus is the ample parking, which made the whole experience hassle-free from the start.
There were a few minor things that could be improved. The menu seemed a bit outdated; it listed the salmon kama as two per table, but we were told the limit was actually one. We also ordered the agedashi tofu, which arrived breaded and fried, unlike the picture on the menu. While our first order of baked mussels was delicious, the second round was unfortunately a bit overcooked. It's also worth noting for potential visitors that uni is not included in the AYCE menu.
Despite these small hiccups, the overall experience was fantastic. The quality of the sushi, fast service, and great pricing make this a spot I will certainly be...
