If you have lots of patience and have all the time in the world, this could be your place. A simple coffee order was painfully slow and we did our best not to eat our pastries while we waited. Alas, we had our pastries without coffee. The owner is lovely and staff is doing their best. I appreciate working out kinks and figuring out your flow, however, with all due respect- As someone who worked in many years in restaurants (many of them still extremely successful, buzzing, table-turning, profiting, making great headlines; check Faubourg in Montclair NJ and Turtle & the Wolf in the same town) a Saturday morning with more or less 8 tables with more than half of them consisting of two tops shouldn't be putting you in the weeds. Our coffee order was simple (iced americano and iced salted caramel, no frills). Perhaps brewing a large batch first thing in the morning then sticking it in he fridge would be beneficial and time-saving for orders like this.

The canelé was a standout—its crispy shell and soft interior had the perfect hint of sweetness, paired beautifully with a slightly bitter latte☕️.The croque madame featured buttery, crisp toast🍞 and a flawlessly runny egg, but the real surprise was the side salad: lightly dressed in tangy vinaigrette, it was so refreshing.
Every detail felt thoughtful, from the flavors to the cozy ambiance. Highly recommend for a taste of...
Read moreA delightful little French gem in Old Pasadena, owned by a French couple. I had the pleasure of meeting the lady, and she was so warm and welcoming — it felt like catching up with an old friend.
The food? Classic French and absolutely delicious. I tried the Croque Madame, the Quiche aux Légumes and the Nutella Crepes — and wow, that Quiche was chef’s kiss (truly, I’m still thinking about it) 😋😋😋
It’s a bit on the pricier side, but totally worth it if you’re craving a little French escape without leaving town. Can’t...
