Waffle House — Restaurant in Pasadena

We hardly go but when we do, we usually take the boys on Sundays. This week we decided to treat them during the week and go for dinner. The waitress, Elizabeth was her name I think, was so rude I was contemplating on walking out. They have a sign immediately when you walk in “Please be kind to our Associates who showed up today and are working hard to serve you. Thank you for your patience. “ Why have that sign? Honestly, I’d rather them not show up if they’re just going to be rude to customers. Without customers you have no business. She went out of her way to be rude, my husband asked for coffee and stuck her hand out at him and told him to wait. She never checked on us. There was MAYBE 3 other families there, and not once was she helpful. Then, she was not only rude to us but to all the other employees there. All who where young men, so it seemed that she was just being mean to them and barking orders to them and yelling at them since she was older. From the experience we had it seemed more that everyone was inconveniencing her, and she was annoyed when anyone wanted anything.

What my boiling point was, my TWO year old (pandemic baby) was trying to jump over the booth. I was asking him to get down. I told him get down or she’s going to make us go outside. (Meaning leave) She immediately said NO I WONT. Don’t you involve me in that! I will not make you go outside and fear only last so long. I ignored her because I was in front of my children. First of all I did not say that to scare them! I said it so he would sit down or we would leave. Not to scare him! Why would leaving scare him?! He’s TWO! Why would I say ANYTHING to scare my child!? He is just now getting used to going to restaurants and doesn’t know how to act in them because he grew up literally quarantined his entire 1.5 year first year if life. If we are not good at a restaurant we will leave simple. Leaving a restaurant shouldn’t be scary and if it ever is then that’s another problem. A simple, I’m so sorry, please don’t include me. Would have been sufficient and respectful. Instead of being so rude and ugly.

We will not be back. Thanks lady for ruining my kid’s favorite place to eat. Word if advice, be nice to people it’s easy, especially when they’re nice to you...

If I could give this place zero stars I would .I actually worked here and now that I'm not working there I can actually tell ppl and make things public with out getting fired that place is open 24 hours and it is the worst place to eat .It is disgusting they have maggots, rats , roaches everywhere and ants . They don't cover up their food at all , they clean like they ain't ever been raised to know how to clean .Several employees use the same clothes over and over again with out washing it they all look sweaty and stinky really bad presentation just like the boss . He and some of the other guys that are there are very inappropriate.The cooks are on drugs if u don't believe me drug test them !!!! Hair folicul please I'm just sayn bc I'm not lien .I have videos and proof of how nasty and trifling these ppl are in there .they also use the oil from the duck vents on the grill and if u know u know that's not safe at all .They need to stop playn the wiggie board in there working area inviting bad spirits bc the vibe in there is so weird fr. They don't wash their hands as often as they should . They must have inspections every 6 months bc that place is nasty and they might be cool with the inspector lol.Also if u think about getting a job here just know u need to say no if they try to send u to another store bc they will not pay you what u deserve to get paid and u will not make enough and they will send u to areas that are not safe and u don't make money at and if Someone hits on u bc they will if someone makes u feel uncomfortable don't just report it to the bosses bc they all been doing dirt for years call the Hot line asap on them bc all they are going to do is fire u and make up B's against you to prevent getting in trouble .They don't use hair nets, they cross contaminate and the dishes are nasty always half as clean. I'm being 100 percent honest if y'all still choose to dine there go for it but now u know and don't drink the tea those things containers for the tea hold mold from not being...

I was unable to place an order over the phone which is understandable they are always so busy. So be patient because they are always with a positive attitude and I have had one error in my meal order but they where so willing to correct it. This place is our Sunday routine for my family so my over the phone order had to be pivoted to order in person. I do recommend since location is limited of area waiting that for to go orders that we are able to leave our number and be called to come inside to leave additional room for those waiting for a table. I usually time between 10-15min you guys have my order ready so I just walk back in. Food was delicious as always and I do understand there new way of cadence of limiting order over the phones to attend customers in locations but it’s worth it. If employees haven’t been Thanked I would like to thank you!! Not once have I been there with anyone having a bad attitude and they are always working as a team to get those orders out. Working in this industry is not easy so be realist sometimes there’s only 4 employees multi-tasking taking several orders.
