Nate's Nashville Hot Chicken — Restaurant in Paso Robles

The food was good but when we got in, nobody said hi to us or acknowledged us until I said something to them. We were the only people in there at the time too.

The food order was not right. We had asked for 2 milkshakes and both were wrong. It was really hard to understand the person taking our order and it must have been hard for him to understand us too since we had to go over our order multiple times so they got it right which failed.

We order 2 chicken sandwiches, some chicken tenders and a mac and cheese bowl with 2 shakes. One was supposed to be strawberry and the other chocolate. We got a chocolate and strawberry shake and then we got a vanilla shake with caramel in it.

Not sure where they got that from because the receipt said what we ordered. We told them the shakes were wrong and went back and forth on the strawberry and how it was supposed to be until they got it right for our picky son and then I gave up on the chocolate shake for our non-picky kid but he ended up just getting a vanilla shake with caramel instead.

They need to listen to the order and pay attention to the order. The customer service could certainly use improvement too. Always welcome your customers, dont make them welcome themselves so you pay attention to them when they are then only people in the place.

I stopped by Paso Robles in my way home for a quick bite, I was craving KFC at the time. I found this restaurant as a quick detour from 101, so I said why not? First of all, this establishment is tiny, there are like 4 tables inside that can sit about 10 people. There is sitting outside but with 100F heat in summer I don’t think anyone with common sense would ever consider eating outside, unless they want to become fried chicken too… sorry I digressed 😅 The menu is basic: Nashville tenders, wings, chicken sandwich (and hot dogs for a reason). I quickly read review and they suggested the Nate’s Original & Fries. The sandwich was average sized, the chicken was crispy, flavorful, and juicy 10/10. I just wish the chicken portion was bigger. To make up for it they add a generous side of fries which you can customize to your heat flavor. I ordered the medium and I felt it was not spicy at all (maybe that’s just me). The box includes a great sauce to dip your fries. I just wish they offered more variety (if they do they didn’t told me). I ordered a small drink with my order and added 15% tip. Total came to be $23 bucks. I felt it is fairly price considering the superior quality (compared to KFC). I will definitely consider eating...

I went here shortly after this place opened and I was definitely taken aback. They have fast and easy service.

I had the Nashville Hot Fries with Very Hot seasoning, Nate's Original Chicken Sandwich & Fries with Hot seasoning, and Chicken and Waffles with Medium seasoning. First and foremost, their spices are serious. Their Medium is just right for those that want just a tiny bit of heat and some seasoning. Their Hot is primo for the average heat chaser. Their Very Hot is one that will satisfy even the most snoody of heat connoisseurs. And their Scary Hot still has the verdict out, however, if it's inline with their previous flavors, it is set to live up to its name and stop even the most wild of heat chasers.

The verdict is still out on the Scary Hot because I got it as a side to dip my fries in before attempting it on an entire sandwich/tenders.

The portions are large. They have timely service. There is inside and outside seating available. The only con I could see is that of the small parking lot, but that is not their fault. For those of you that have been in this marketplace, they parking lot is fairly tight.
