This place is a nightmare! The owners watch your every move. We had our friends drop us off while they checked into their motel down the street. And we planned to meet back up in our room for a couple drinks before we ended the night. Right as our friends parked in front of our room the owner call and demanded to know who these people were. So I explained that they are friends and we’re going to have some drinks. He said absolutely no visitors, but said we can have an hour to have drinks. 10 minutes later I got another call.. this time the owner said to close the back window if we are going to have the air conditioner on. This creep walked to the backside of our room to spy on us!! Every time I looked out the window the owner and his wife were pacing back and forth in front of our room. 30 minutes after that he called again and said your friends need to leave now!! We’ve absolutely had it at this point. There were sketchy people drinking in the parking lot but we were being singled out for whatever reason. We demanded a refund but we were only able to get half. The rooms are disgusting and the owners are terrible people. DO...
Read moreI had reserved a room with two beds a week prior to the visit. My family and I had been looking forward to my daughters 9th birthday weekend. After arriving tired from a long trip. The attendant told me that there was an extra $100 cash deposit. I had the money and a the credit card on me and agreed but he still treated me snobbish and started threatening to take all of my money from me if my family left ANY mess. I asked him why the poor treatment and did he plan to honor the reservation or not. After checking my ID he proclaimed that because I had an old address on my ID card and he didn't like my attitude he was refusing me service. Slammed the door in my face and locked it when my husband tried to reason with him. Forced my family to wonder the streets of Paso trying to find another room. My daughter never even got to blow out her candles that night because of how exhausted we all were by the time we got into a room. Most horrible awful experience because of the non English speaking schisty swindlers running that ran down bug infested hole. Please don't ever rent from these slum...
Read moreStayed 2 nights. Yes, it's a cheap motel -- certainly not much to look at from the outside, plain beige stucco with row of doors. The check-in was pretty underwhelming and the owners live in the space right next to the office. Laundry machines outside.||||But inside the room we were very pleasantly surprised, it was clean and fresh, and had a refrigerator (NOT a locked mini bar, which we hate) and microwave. NICE SHOWER, which is also hard to find outside your own home. The Smart & Final grocery/everything store is right across the street so we could stock up on room snacks and keep them in the fridge. Not much sitting space inside the room, just 1 chair and small table.||||While packing out on check-out day we chatted with the owner who is enjoying running his little hotel business, cleans the rooms personally, and recently did an upgrade to all the rooms including tile work in the bathrooms. He was friendly and we felt very welcome.||||But you're in Paso for the wineries so we weren't spending tons of time in the room. We would stay...
