This place has one of the best collection of antique tractors ever most of the ones you'll see there are either one of 2 first one ever made a prototype or really cool old or just amazing if your in Paso for a vacation or just looking for a cool place to visit this is the place to be 10000/10 I strongly recommend going here if you get the chance or swinging by the Paso park on pioneer day to see them running if you want to see them in action the best of the west show is the only place to be its memorial day weekend at the Santa margarita ranch and it's such a cool experience to see these sleeping giants in action this place or anyone of the events should be on the top of your things to do list I could not recommend this place more.

This is such a gem of a museum! I was surprised by how extensive and thoughtfully curated the exhibits were. My husband and I visited last week with our kids, and we were all very impressed. Being half Polish, it was extra fun seeing the Paderewski exhibit. One of the absolute highlights was meeting the wonderful ladies at the front desk. They were not only welcoming but incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating stories and insights about the local history that truly brought everything to life. We left feeling inspired and can’t wait to return!

This is a must see museum, tucked away in Paso Robles. It’s huge and has so many awesome things to see, including an entire floor dedicated to old, old cars, wagons and horse drawn carriages. I loved it! Adults and kids will enjoy this place. I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because we were there on a very rainy day and the parking lot was muddy and the building leaked but it didn’t take away from the enjoyment.

An eccentric trip back through not only the history of Paso Robles, but of California in general. The front of the museum displays rusting farm equipment, a one-room school house, and reproduction of Paso's first jail (with an original door and ball an chain). This does no hint at the eclectic collection of collections that the museum interior houses. Sections include displays on local fossils, native american, military history, farmers, cowboys and more. There is a whole warehouse of old tractors, many of which still roll down spring street during the annual "Pioneer Day."

There is enough in the museum to warrant several trips and considering that there is no admission charge, why...

FABULOUS museum for a city its size! There is much to see, and it's all free! The "imagineer" [Bob Ross] who designed Disneyland's "Main Street" also on a much smaller scale, designed a minia- ture of downtown Paso Robles.

There's a wonderful Transporta- tion Hall with antique cars, trucks, and buggies. They have a print shop with a linotype machine, blacksmi5h shop, batned wire exhibit, branding irons [they in the midst of cattle ranging business], all kinds of farm equipment; an authentic one-room schoolhouse, the City's original jail [2 cells!], diaramas of life in the 1800s, including a kitchen, parlor, general store, - even a fully-equipped dentist's office! AND...
