Al Raouche Restaurant — Restaurant in Paterson

The old chefs were rude. They were very mean to the girl cashier taking advantage of the owner absence. Beside that the food took so long and al falafel were not hot and fresh. Another customer came while i was waiting for my order, she left unhappy as the chef came to cashier and told her that no one is there helping him and its gonna take one hour for her order at least. The cashier told the chef that she is gonna call the owner and ask for help, the chef replied loudly with an attitude and pointing his pointer finger on her like he is threatening her telling her that the one she wanted to call is busy and not to call him. I felt sorry for the girl on the register and the customer too. The restaurant was so much better with Abu Rida, now!! I hope the new owner is watching what happening in the restaurant. I feel sorry but not going...

Don't waste your time with this place. They say they close at 9 but they close at 8:30 PM. Came to this place back to back night and both times was turned away at 8:30 PM. Go to Al Basha which is up the road and they will not turn you away. This place use to be a place to go but not anymore. I never leave a bad a review and this is a first and when you have awful customers service I will let people know so they are not mislead. I also will show pictures to let you see that it says open but won't let you in. While sitting in the parking lot writing this review they open the door for a customer and let him in but just for me to order a simple meal and leave they didn't even open the door. Came here the other day after work. I was a little hungry and trying not to make that stop at McDonalds and will have to say that I was very surprised. Lady on the counter was very friendly and happy to explain what some of their menu items consisted of. I ended up getting the shawarma sandwich and it was actually very good. I found it to be simple yet very tasteful and not dry like I have found it at other places. The menu was not under or over priced so that is always a plus, not to mention the friendly service provided. ( I am sorry but I have lived in that area a long time and always come across rude service when eating around there..lol)

Definitely recommend making this a stop, even if it's just once to try. Will definitely be coming back...
