We had the absolute worst experience at Krispy Krunchy Chicken. The food quality was terrible—greasy, overcooked, and not at all fresh. The chicken was dry and tasteless, and the sides were soggy and bland. It was honestly hard to believe that this place even stays in business and the use of the term Halal is questionable. To make matters worse, the portions were ridiculously small for the price. During one misadventure, we discovered upon arriving home that our chicken cheesesteaks consisted of small bits of chicken, very little cheese and some onions - we were left feeling totally disappointed. The Dinner Pasta: grilled chicken w/marinara or vodka are deceptively the same item. Let us not forget to mention their $2 can sodas. And then there was the cashier who will remain anonymous since this critique isn’t meant to publicly embarrass an employee. He was not only unprofessional but downright rude. He barely acknowledged us, didn’t make eye contact, and seemed completely uninterested in helping customers. We felt as if our order was in some way an inconvenience. During our 5 or more visits, we always politely greeted this cashier and barely received a murmur in return. On the other hand, we observed that upon seeing friends or familiar faces he is very polite and quite animated. We reside approximately 15 minutes away from Paterson, and we love this city, especially its diverse culture. Most of all, we enjoy shopping along with sampling cuisines from various restaurants. Overall, we would not recommend Krispy Krunchy Chicken to anyone. There are so many better places to get fried chicken, pasta and chicken cheesesteaks that actually care about quality and...
Read moreI have been eyeing Krispy Kruncchy Chicken for a long, long time now. Probably since it opened. And I finally got to try it yesterday and was so excited. My father and I were in the area, waiting to pick up food, and needed to wait another 30 minutes. So I decided to check this place out. I didn't order anything fancy as I didn't want the food to take too long to prepare. So I ordered the chicken tenders meal that were at the counter. I expected the tenders, fries, and biscuit to be warm and not crispy; but they were hot and crispy. We were pleasantly surprised. Additionally, it came with a ranch dipping sauce, which was a tiny bit spicy... a nice touch. For about $12, we received 4 pieces of tenders, a honey biscuit, fries, and a drink. I didn't want the drink, so I asked if we may substitute the drink for another side, but they denied our request. The seating area itself is mostly clean and was empty on a Friday afternoon. I deducted one star because there was a chicken wing bone on the floor, and it kind of bothered me. The fact that the restaurant was empty, the staff should have been paying extra attention to the cleanliness of the place. Overall, the food is the most important part, and I enjoyed the food I tried yesterday. So I plan on visiting again to try their other menu...
Read moreIt's decent..a different spin on all the fried chicken spots in Paterson. Biscuits are different..pretty good. Workers are pretty cool..they welcome you openly. A couple of times, they did mess up my order. Giving them 3 stars with a possible. Not a bad place..9/30 update. Went there for lunch, chicken taste very salty and mashed potatoes and gravy was cold in the middle. Also, the guy at the counter isn't as welcoming..its like he doesn't wanna be there. They lose a star..dropping down to 2 stars. Maybe I'll give them one more chance....maybe. 9/15/20 UPDATE: since they've moved across the street from original spot, the food and service has been better. Chicken prices are a little higher than other places (i.e. popeyes and kfc), but, overall, not too bad. Still a little salty for the palate. There is also many more items on the menu, which makes me a little nervous..when diners try to do too much, something usually suffers for it. Anyway, I will raise there stars from 2 to 3. They have...
