Costillas Colombian Grill CO — Restaurant in Paterson

AVOID COMING HERE! I raved to my husband about this restaurant and told him we should go here for our Sunday lunch. However, we were greeted with the worst experience of my life! Not only was the food so bad-overcooked, the owner has the worst customer service I’ve ever had the disappointment of experiencing. After finishing our meal, I informed the rude waitress who did not originally take our order, of how the meat I ordered was undercooked and I was not able to eat it. With an attitude, she offered a new freshly cooked meat which I was hesitant to accept but said “okay” anyways. The owner then comes over and loudly says my meat is not hard or undercooked because she tried it and it was soft? How in the world does the owner of a place argue with a customer and tell a customer they are wrong because their preference of meat finish is different than theirs and could not eat it? The loud arguing in front of other customers- went on for about 5 minutes before my husband and I just paid our bill and left. I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS AWFUL, UNPROFESSIONAL establishment. A true hidden gem and Patterson! The food is delicious and the service is wonderful! It tastes, as if there was a grandmother in the back making everything with love. They say they open from 11am but no. They open the door but no one answers and the worker inside sees the customers enter but doesn't care because he doesn't even speak to them. It's too bad that the service offered is not the one received. Tips are imposed no matter the service they provide, this should not be the case.
