We really wanted to love this place. But can’t say we did. The place was really pretty, that’s it First no water was offered or served until we asked during meal. We order piña coladas. They don’t serve alcohol. They charged almost $13 dollars. Other places $8 $10 max. For some reason they put the cherry syrup in it, none of them tasted like piña coladas, they were grainy and turned pink. The waitress was very slow & taking the order I had to repeat each order in Spanish about 3x & pause as she tried to type. We noticed she had the same issues with the other 2 tables . Ordered 2 appetizers. they did not come together. Finished 1 then the other one came. Food took long and it was not busy. Nothing had salt the fish was really dry! The only plates that were ok, were the ceviche and the fish filet . Everything was served with plátanos . It was overwhelming at the end. Menu limited. The middle of all rice orders had scorched rice we don’t like “cocolon”. I didn’t want to throw out the encebollado we could have fixed it at home. I was charged for the container. I found that ridiculous. I ordered 3 waters, In addition to that we paid for the bottle waters. One bottle was still half full and it was taken no questions. The waitress was not rude but wasn’t friendly either. She took long coming back and really didn’t offer more drinks nothing. The food portion and price were ok but again no flavor. They include 18% tip which should be based on service, and customers should decide what percentage. If they feel waitress should get paid more, then increase their salary. Then they charge fee for using credit card. We also noticed there was another family next to us waited for over an hour for their food 3ppl. They complained. Another family sat down as the waitress is taking the new tables order another girl comes up interrupts her and passes the food to her to give to the family that waited for over an hour. She serves then goes back to continue taking the order then someone else comes up and interrupts her again with the rest of the food, for the other table. Honestly how hard was it for the other 2 girls to take a couple of steps and serve the table themselves and not interrupt. The waitress had trouble with the 2 other tables they kept repeating themselves. Not sure if she was just having trouble typing. Maybe just give her pen and paper? Meanwhile we were still waiting for the check. Oh they gave us tablets with the menus we couldn’t place Order but could add items to wishlist. By the time she came back to take order the tablet cleared the wish list. No point. We were really disappointed. Won’t be going back.

Pros: Very nice ambiance, including beautiful art from Ecaudor, especially Guayaquil. They have a nice second floor section for dining with great lighting. They have a decent variety selection of Ecuadorian food and very nice digital menus. The waitresses were very professional and respectful. Cons: Their kitchen is located in the basement so the food has quite a trip to make before landing on your table, this could be why our food was served cold, on that day or because they were photographing their food for their menus? The taste of the food was good, just not warm. I would recommend a system where they can arrange to send up the food from the basement with a food elevator or keep someone on the 2nd floor with a radio to communicate to the kitchen on food updates. Also, on my checking account, when I viewed their charge, it was stated as ALPHA AND OMEGA PROFESIONAL?? I had to call my bank and verify these charges. We will return and update on any better changes.

  • long review* On Sept. 28th I went to Delicias Ecuatorianas Restaurant to celebrate my uncles 70th birthday. This was my first time going to this restaurant. The restaurant is small but really nice. We did have the second floor where they were able to accommodate about 40 of us. (which was great). When my cousin made the reservation, she asked if they could split the bill by family and they said yes which was great. They did tell her it was BYOB but never told her that they charge a cork fee. I actually found out about it because of the reviews on google. Now we are at the restaurant, and everyone is there. They start taking our orders. My sisters and myself decided to order the most basic food and being Ecuadorian we all know that rice and lentil beans and any meat is the most basic. In my receipt the time says, that the order was put in at 6:55pm. I understand that it was a big group and we all ordered different things. But when the food starts coming up one dish every 20 mins something is wrong. With that being said my sister was the last to get her food and that was at about 8:45pm. What was the crazy part is that my sister and myself ordered the same exact thing. White rice lentil beans and Chuleta (pork chop). So i don’t understand how i got my food first and my sister got hers 25 mins later being that it was the same thing. Now the pricing of the food to me is a little ridiculous. For my sister and my plate we were charged 51.80. So 25.90 for one small pork chop is insane to me. My other sister ordered a seco de gallina. she was charged 20.54 for one chicken leg with rice one maduro and the thinnest slice of avocado i ever seen. NOW that is ridiculous and they should be ashamed to charge 20 bucks for rice and one chicken leg. Because as we all know the chicken leg has no barely no meat. I also noticed that my cousin who also ordered a seco de gallina was charged 19.50. so does the chicken leg cost more?? My other cousin was charged $3 to $4 dollars more than what the menu price was. she did complain about it and was told that the prices has changed. So why are the prices on your menu not changed? They fixed it for her and changed the prices. So now i go close my tab, and i see a charge for 2 beers and two glasses of wine. And like i said earlier they charge a cork fee for when you bring a bottle. We didn’t bring no alcohol. We told the waitress and she came back with the receipt saying that they have a cork fee and was changed it 1 of each. I told them that we didn’t bring a bottle so we shouldn’t have been charged. she tells me that the gentleman on the my table was drinking a beer and had a glass on the table. so because my uncle offers my brother in a law a beer that he brought and was charged a cork fee, we also had to pay for something that someone else paid for?? that’s crazy. I told her it was fine and i will pay for it. After my uncle went to complain about it I'm guessing to the owner, she told him that she didn’t realize that she charged us the cork fee and gave us the $23 that she charged us for. INSANE. So do i think they are robbing people?? YES and its sad because in Paterson we really don’t have Ecuadorian restaurants and being Ecuadorian i was happy to see a restaurant from my country in the town I’m from and I didn’t have to travel to Hackensack ( which by the way have great Ecuadorian restaurants). But the way they over charge, and took forever to bring out the food its safe to say i wont be returning there.

I really do hope that they change how they run business because the way they are doing it now its NOT it.

PS.. check your receipt...
