La Chiflada NJ — Restaurant in Paterson

This place is a major red flag! I am a business owner, my partner is a police officer and my friend works in corporate. I will begin from the beginning because there are too many details to leave out. We went to this place for the Colombia/Panama game. First, the basics: They charge $20 for parking. Then the door fee is $10. Then you have a $40+ minimum food order per person requirement. The Hookas are $25 and the refills are also $25. You can not bring a vape inside as they will make you throw it out. Even if your vape is 0% nicotine and they do not offer 0% nicotine hookahs btw. While we were there, the tables had no seating. It was all standing the entire time. I did write this exact review upon learning about the chairless tables because it blew my mind. A while later, the "manager" came and found me to ask me to remove the review because "it's looks bad for them". I explained I didn't write anything but the details of what we paid and the facts of what the environment (with no chairs) was and he still wanted me to remove this information. It was so important for him that I take off the review, that he removed almost $100 off our tab from our food and our first round of drinks. Fast Forward to the end of the game and we asked for the check.The TIP IS INCLUDED already in the total and the server will still highlight the bottom to get you to tip more so pay attention. RED FLAG ALERT: The center of the check has a section I've never seen on a check before. It's asking you for a separate signature to agree that they can charge you additional fees and you agree to not dispute the additional charges with your bank. NEVER SIGN THIS PART!!! There is 100% no addition charges they need to charge you for that isn't already listed on your bill. I refused to sign this area so the manager brought a much older guy down to tell me to sign it and when I again refused, they physically ripped a beer out of my partners hand and a bottle of water out of my friends hand, which we already paid for. They pulled the table out from us and told us to get out. The bottom of the table has a hook for your bag or your jacket and my partner had a sweater hanging there and they wouldn't allow her to retrieve it. The unprofessionalism and rage of this place is alarming. I will never return here and highly recommend you go elsewhere. There is a lot of shady behavior here and they do not stop trying to extort money from their customers and they probably get away with it because when everyone is drunk, no one reads anything. We visited on December 1st So I’ll start it off with me and me friend been looking for where to go for her 21st birthday and after two months of looking we decided on this place. We get there he immediately he tells us to go to downstairs we see that it’s very small, doesn’t look like what they advertise at all but we’re still hoping maybe they just have angels that make it look bigger since we saw the posts they make on instagram we decided to give them a try hoping we just arrived early before the fun starts.

So we’re just relying on hope we go inside iand there are only 3 tables occupied fine with us we order a bottle service 250 we get 2 pictures 40 we get a hookah 30 dollars. We decided to get that 3 people cool. They charged 60 dollar gratuity cool expected I guess. The hookah is no good at all. We got the bottle service at 11 already by 12:15 the waiter came and said she was going to bring us the check. I know the time exactly because I send my friend money so she can pay cash send it to her at 12:33 because they were rushing us to pay. At 1am one of the managers I believe the guy that offered us the hookah specifically goes to our table to ask the birthday girl “oh where is the after party?” Anyone knows what that means they be trying to play with you because they think you’re drunk and especially that it was three 21 year olds they think because your young that your stupid.

All that we still weren’t going to let our night be ruined and our money be wasted. At around 2:15 we went to the bathroom came back and all the tables were empty. So we decided to head out I ordered the Uber at 2:27. The security interrupts me and my friends conversation and goes “are you guys leaving you guys are the only ones here” and I say “ I already ordered my Uber” and continue on my conversation with my friend he interrupts and again and says “ well we’re closing now how are is it” and I say “it’ll definitely be here before 3” after this they all went outside and we got the lights turned off on us mins you it was 20 degrees outside and they wanted us to...

My first time here for a friend’s birthday and won’t be coming back here so disappointed of the place since I had heard good reviews about it but worst experience EVER!!! It was Thursday 12/16 so it was not crazy pack to begin with and this waiter Antonia was so not attentive at our table or orders or anything… We ordered our drinks and after giving the first sip all we tasted was mango with water no alcohol and her explanation was “oh those drinks are already pre-made and we have a machine that controls the amount of liquor so we can’t add or change it” we went along and then told her we were ready for our food order after a whole half hr wait. She came by and took only one order of one of my other friends and ignored our orders even after a friend told her excuse me we ordering also and she walked away so we had to wait another 20 minutes for another waiter who passed by and kindly took our order. After our first drinks we decided to just order another one and not order any other drink once our food arrived. Antonia then came by we asked her if she could bring a dessert after our meal for my friend who was celebrating her birthday and a shot she comes back after 20 minutes and said they had no desserts. We asked her about the shot and she said she had forgot. The food was ok can’t say it was that bad but then our bill came and they charged us an extra patrona which we never drank, an extra margarita which we never ordered and they did bring it to our table but told Antonia that was an extra and she took it with her. The shot she had told us was on the house since she had forgot about it and yet still added it to the bill. Thankfully we reviewed the bill and she said she would go back and fix it.
