Toros — Restaurant in Paterson

Sharing a faded out experience!

To start off with I do want to say that the food is very good. Probably the best in the Paterson area. I have been going to them for years. Lately, I noticed the past several times customer service has been slacking rapidly. I was with my friends for dinner and the entire time we were never offered something to drink. When we finished eating we waited without exaggeration minimum 15 minutes to be approached. There was just 2 other customers there and 2 waitresses. Not once has anyone come over. We had to flag them down as if they were helping others. FYI - they were socializing at the end table! Everyone needs a break 100% and this business is not easy. As we all got up the waitress comes over and asks if we wanted desert and tea. I mean, come on now. The place wasnt busy, all the opportunity in the world to ask, but yet we get asked when we all stand up. We looked at her and kindly said " no its okay we are leaving". We all decided to go to Sultan's bakery and had our tea their. Had we been approached in the ample amount of time that they had we would have spent another $35-$45 just on deserts and tea alone. We also left with no rudeness and tipped them well above the standard 15% even though the service wasnt all that great. Keep in mind. I have been going to them for years. I think its time to move on elsewhere. I wish them the best but it just felt like they didnt appreciate our business. 100% understanding if they were busy. But, they were far...

This is really disappointing. I spent $33.99 on a platter that was far from satisfactory. I ordered online, expecting a quality meal based on the restaurant’s reputation, but the experience fell short. The "Toros mixed" platter had terrible presentation and was barely enough to serve two people. For that price, I received just one kofte, a small forkful of gyro meat, a tiny Adana, and three pieces of kusbasi. The portion sizes were inadequate and didn’t justify the cost. This was definitely not worth the $33.99 I paid. Will not be returning. If this platter is to satisfy 2 OR more people, the amount of food should be equally (not one and three of some things) and presentation should be done more neatly, even in separate containers. Taste was also blend. When I came to pick up, the customer service was horrible. The ladies were not smiling and just asked me to pay instead of even saying hello how are you.

I called to leave a review and the person I spoke to just said oh ok I will let them know but did not take my name or my number and now I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. It also looked nothing like the picture...

We recently dined at Toros, a Turkish restaurant that impressed us from the moment we walked in. Despite arriving without a reservation and finding the place packed, we were immediately greeted and told a table would be ready in about five minutes. The hostess efficiently helped us place our order while we waited, and true to her word, seating became available right on time. To our delight, a complimentary house salad arrived shortly after we sat down. We then savored warm bread with hummus and a refreshing shepherd's salad before diving into the delicious lamb adana and chicken kebabs, both served with a side of rice. While the kebabs were fantastic, we did miss having onions and the thin lavash bread alongside them. We concluded our meal with sweet baklava, rich Turkish coffee, and aromatic Turkish tea.
