Hey it's McDonald's... The food is what you expect. It's hard to screw up McDonald's food. During meal times it is a busy place, combine that with a parking lot that isn't easy to get into and you may find yourself frustrated before you even get out of your car or into the driver thru. However once you're there and, in my case, in the drive thru you will see that they have split ordering lines. At the heavy times these do seem to be simultaneously staffed, as you hear different voices on each speaker talking at the same time. However the service line is one lane and the merge after ordering is immediate, watch out for frustrated, hungry, or just plain uncourteous drivers. Finally, the wait time was a bit long. I know this is nit-picky. Once my order was in and I was past the merge I was about four or so cars from the window. My normal experience at other locations is about 2.5-4 minutes. With the virus times adding 15-60 seconds depending on staffing. The average wait time, nationwide, is about 4 mins. I was there for about 7-10 (I got a phone call near the end and lost track). Also at the first window they went through 3 orders before they figured out which one I was. This seems odd since almost all newer drive thrus have cameras for matching orders with people. Had it not been for the phone call to distract me I would have pulled away. Yes this was one time and it was busy. But this was not a holiday or weekend, it was a Thursday afternoon, and I've been there several other times including about 1030pm and they're always among the slower locations I've been to. Read moreI came through the drive thru February 7th and the ignorance i was met with was ridiculous.. I ordered light ice in my drink i watched this lady add extra ice i tried to inform her that i dont want that much ice she blatantly ignored me. Since my order was wrong i rightfully asked her to correct it she didnt like that so her attitude got crazier since decency was gone i proceeded to pay for my corrected drink with a $10 bill i got $3.52 back in change for a single tea.. i told ignorance that she shorted me change $5 to be exact ignorance told me no she didnt so i asked for a manager i showed him my receipt $10 cash payment and only $3.52 in change he told me in an ignorant way you got to wait over there and pointed... So im waiting and 20 minutes later they walk out with $4 first off MCDONALDS ATHERTON DR. if you want people to return make sure their order is correct and the correct change would be nice too. But I get it in a money position you don't need good math skills because McDonald's you're definitely lacking it!!! Not to mention corporate is dragging their feet resolving the issue... I wouldnt waste my time OR money in an establishment where ignorance is defended and rewarded.. GO ELSEWHERE AND GET BETTER QUALITY PERIOD! McDonald's also hire people with better math skills. The restrooms looked like they they hadn't been swept in days and hadn't had a good cleaning for a very long time judging by the buildup of film on the sinks and the where the floor meets the wall was just cruddy.
The dining room wasn't much better, almost all the tables were dirty, and there was trash on the floor around the drink station. Lids were stocked but the ice tea container looked like it needed attention.
I got a shamrock flurry that wasn't mixed well, ice cream is hard to screw up and I just had to stir it a lot but it was the the flurries I've gotten at other stores. The one time I got a strawberry cream pie and it was really good! So the food I got was good but really hard to screw up.
The counter personnel were non existent good thing I used the app and the kiosk. This was very late in the evening and late at night. We were waiting on the vet down the street so we came up 3 times over an 9 hour time span. They may have been a bit busy drive thru and delivery services but the state of cleanliness had been bad over many hours like nothing seemed to change from the first time we were there, at about 8 pm the first time and 2 more times until 2:30 am.
In my opinion this store needs better management and oversight because there is no excuse for the disaster that...
