I just recently moved to the neighborhood and I was beyond happy to see the coming soon sign in the windows of Notes. Now that I’ve experienced their coffee a few times I am happy to report that it is fantastic and the best coffee spot in the neighborhood. They brew a specially-roasted-for-Notes New Harvest blend that hits the spot. They also have donuts from Knead but I have not been able to get my hands on one- they sell out pretty quickly. The space is fairly small so I have stayed away on the weekends when it gets busier since it is hard to socially distance inside. I truly look forward to when we no longer need to practice social distancing and mask wearing and I can sit in the space without any worry! It is well designed with simple but elegant finishing. The one thing that throws me off is the artwork- it doesn’t seem very cohesive and disrupts the space a bit. I hope they decide to show just one or two artists work at a time in the future.

This place is super chill, came in for a coffee and decided to stay for lunch. They use oat creamer instead of oat milk, which makes for a richer, more velvety cup. The food is a little pricey but very tasty. Went in again for a cortado, but I wish they'd have asked me "for here or to go" because it was served "to go" in a paper cup, and I enjoy espresso much better in ceramic or glass. I'll definitely be back, though! Update: I went back! Highly recommend the iced Honeybee latte, it was *chef's kiss (lavender and honey flavor). Seriously one of the best lattes I've ever had

Stopped here for coffee while in the area for the day. The coffee was delicious! I didn’t feel like I needed to add anything to it but it also wasn’t too sweet. They have many delicious flavor options and the staff were friendly. The cafe was nicely decorated and set up. On a busy day it may be hard to find close parking.

Decided to try a special menu item and loved the take on it; felt compelled to review it since I’ve had a few from other places in the U.S.. The Cuban sandwich they have was actually really good!! What really sealed it was how well the meat was prepared plus the mustard (which is maybe a type of unique peppered/hot mustard…?) I think the pickles they used which were more of a balanced/bittersweet flavour were unusual at first bite (as they’re traditionally bitter) but they actually helped expand the flavour the more I chewed. What’s normally a typical straightforward sandwich they made some creative changes to in great, subtle ways..so props to them! Will pick it up again next time I’m in the...

A Hidden Gem Right Near My House!

I can’t believe it took me this long to visit this cafe—it’s literally walking distance from my place! The atmosphere was so comfortable and clean, making it the perfect spot to relax or work.

The barista was super welcoming, and my order—the Florentine sandwich on a croissant with a vanilla iced latte—was delicious (no complaints at all!). I ended up working there for about four hours, and the WiFi was fast and reliable—no issues at all.

Overall, I’m excited to try more of their food and finally have a go-to spot for my low-meeting workdays. Highly...
