Don Chuy's Taco Shop — Restaurant in Payson

Can I give them 0 stars???? We usually go here for their California burrito for a after school snack or just whenever we were craving a yummy burrito. BUT... lately every time I go I have been taking a few bites out of the burrito before throwing it away! It has literally so much oil that seeps out and gets all over my hands which proves how much oil there is. The DEAL BREAKER was when I went around last week, I always go and ask for my california burrito with no pico and so that day I went and ordered same. I received back a burrito with pico and also with a green salsa instead of the red that I asked. Okay, thats a simple mistake, I was not angry at all, so I went back and asked for the burrito to be made again this time with no pico. I told the young man who was at the front and he mentioned it to the lady that was right by him who previously helped me with the order. She looked at me disgustingly and started making an argument with the young man and kept pointing at me. It was clear that she was having an argument or at least talking about me in a very angry tone. It was not my fault that she messed up and now it was time for her to fix it. Lastly, she took the burrito and slammed it onto the table and literally stomped back and made me a new burrito. When it was done she pushed the bag towards me and didn't look at me at all. When I opened the bag there was nothing in it other than the tortilla and beef wrapped up. She was so clearly upset that she didn't bother to throw in the rest of the burrito! She left out the potatoes and the cheese plus most of the flavoring! I will not be returning after this incident and advise you guys to save the disappointment and go...

This place has great authentic Mexican food. Up until my last visit, this place has been awesome. On my last visit to this establishment, my order came to over 57 dollars. I let the attendant speak directly with my wife on the phone so that she could order her meal correctly. My wife ordered two cheese and two chicken enchiladas and three rolled tacos. Up on arriving home to my wife, and looking forward to a nice relaxing dinner with my wife, we found that we were shorted two cheese enchiladas. They denied the missing food and said there were two in each container. After my wife talked with them on the phone, she was so upset she had me return to the restaurant, over a half hour drive away from our residence. They called her a liar. When I returned, I took our order of enchiladas one in each package. Also, in the bag were three rolled tacos, but still they questioned, and claimed the missing enchiladas was there, calling myself a liar as well. Finally, they concede to make the missing two enchiladas but unnoticed by me she throws the food I already paid for in the trash. Again, I'm at two enchiladas after paying for four, only now I'm missing three rolled tacos. I'm sorry, but you can not make up such stupidity. Now it's late, and they are closing and can't remake my food she threw in the trash. This place has a wonderful menu and food. But the service this particular night was a huge failure. It cost me an hour of extra driving and time with my family. It's enough for me not to do business with their establishment ever again. Sadly because they have so...

My family just moved to Payson, and we heard good things about Don Chuy's Taco Shop. I went there last Saturday to get some food. I called my wife as I looked at the menu. We were both suprised by the size of the menu. She said she wanted Chile Reinos so I tried to order them. while putting in the order the server said, one moment went back to the kitchen and then came back and said 'Sorry we are out of of those."

Okay then her next choice was Tamales. So I asked for those. "Sorry we are out of those", okay can I get a Carne Asada Plate, "Sorry out of that too!"

By this time I just left, thinking if they don't have my top three choices oh well.

I returned on Thursday after being told by my neighbors and some friends it must have just been a fluke. However this time I ordered the chile rienos. The server said "one moment" went to the kitchen and returned to say, "we have just enough for 1 order". GREAT! I thought. so i ordered to plates of food both served with Tortillas. It wasn't FAST service but not bad. I went home opened the bag and there were NO TORTILLAS. none. Just the food. I went back to the store. No "I am sorry" no nothing just un cheerfully got my tortillas.

I am done. Not going back. The food was okay but not great. I had the carnitas and my wife had the chile reinos. We will just drive to Orem for better Mexican food in the future, or cook it ourselves.
