Itās my understanding that the owners of K Sushi Bar and Grill are Korean, so I decided to try the Korean dishes that are on the menu. I ordered the Galbi and Soondufu. Both are classic Korean dishes.
Galbi is described on the menu as āBeef short rib in specially formulated soy sauceā. Iād call it Korean barbecue ribs, which are both sweet and savory. Soondufu is described on the menu as, āSilken tofu in a spicy broth with shrimp and scallopā. Itās a spicy stew thatās traditionally served piping hot.
There were seven pieces of Galbi served over sautĆ©ed chopped vegetables (mostly cabbage) and with steamed white rice. The Galbi was on the sweeter side. Iād prefer a little bit more sesame oil and ginger in the marinade, but it was tasty.
The Soondufu was presented in a ttukbaegi, which is a Korean clay cooking pot, with steamed white rice on the side. Traditionally, Soondufu is served boiling hot, but it was barely warm. While I donāt prefer scalding hot stew, more than barely warm would have been appreciated. However, the flavors were there, albeit slightly muted.
All in all, K Sushi Bar and Grill is the best restaurant for Korean food in Payson. Iāll definitely return for more, the next time the craving for Korean...
Read moreK Sushi Bar and Grill brings a welcome taste of something different to Payson. Tucked along the main road, it has a modern yet relaxed feel that sets it apart from the small-town diners and steakhouses. The atmosphere is calm and inviting, with simple décor and the quiet rhythm of sushi being rolled behind the counter.
The menu offers a wide range of choices. Sushi rolls are fresh and colorful, balancing classic options with creative twists. The fish tastes clean and bright, and the rice is prepared with the care that makes each bite come together. For those who want something warm, the grill menu delivers hearty teriyaki dishes, tempura that arrives crisp and light, and bowls of miso soup that start the meal with comfort.
Service is steady and attentive. The staff are helpful in guiding newcomers who might not know what to order, while also keeping regulars feeling at home. K Sushi Bar and Grill proves that even in a mountain town, you can find flavors that transport you somewhere else entirely. It is a refreshing addition to Paysonās food scene.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreCame here after a particularly brutal summer hike desperate for protein and carbs and ended up having the best sushi I think Iāve ever had in Arizona. Everything in the restaurant is as clean as possible (which is nice to see extra care taken with all the raw fish handling going on) and the general ambiance is very welcoming and cozy. Onto the food portion of the review- just the 50 states sushi menu is beautiful alone, the appetizers are delicious (there are no wrong choices but the stuffed jalapeƱos are amazingggg) and the sushi is beyond delicious and made with skill and a lot of care. Rollwise- I had the Wisconsin Wildcat, the Minnesota, and the Vermont roll and I could not have been more satisfied with my meal both in presentation and tastewise. Our server, Priscilla, was really attentive and very helpful. I wish I could rate my experience here 100/10. I hope to be back soon. Thank...
