Subway — Restaurant in Payson

Subway is one of our favorite places to stop and this one is the best experience we've had! We stopped there for lunch today. They let us know right away that the toaster wasn't working so they couldn't do hot sandwiches or pizza. That was okay with us! There lack of hot sandwiches was easily made up with the amazing and friendly service behind the counter.

They were careful to wear masks and and take safety precautions as they served us (it is COVID season). And while that can often make service seem a little distant, it didn't keep them from being very welcoming and friendly. They weren't overbearing at all (for those who don't like to engage as much). But they were quick and attentive.

On top of all that, my son said today's was the BEST sandwich he's ever had at a Subway! That's a pretty high bar! I'll admit, it was stellar.

This Subway is located conveniently in a Walmart. Plenty of parking outside, including accessible parking. I think with more foot traffic, this one probably has fresher food- if anything at least the veggies were more well-stocked at this location. However, as I came in a on weekday, the service was a bit slower and it took around 10 or so minutes of waiting. I will say though person working there was very friendly and he took care to package all the food and make sure everything looked good. He even recommended some pretty good sauces- yum for the chipotle one. In the end, the food was pretty good and it lasted me two meals! Today we stopped by at subway at Walmart and experienced outstanding service that you normally do not expect at subway nowadays. I think the name of the employee was Ray. We could feel the personal touch in both employees service. They were so positive and prepared sandwiches like they were making it for their family. Every sandwich was clearly marked. We saw them treating all customers with so much respect. I would give them all stars for every possible service category. I would stop by at this Walmart again and again for Subway.
