Mini Asia — Restaurant in Peachtree City

Update: we decided to try this place again after several months because it is so convenient for us. We enjoyed the food much better this time around. Not sure if the original review was an off night for them or if they improved their recipe, but we liked the sweet and sour chicken this time and we'll probably get it again.

Food is OK, but not crave-worthy. Our family loves getting sweet & sour chicken on Friday nights. We decided to try this place and were pretty disappointed. Flavor was blah, the pieces were small, and there was more batter than chicken (like, Itty bitty pieces of chicken that were hardly noticeable). So, basically, we felt like we were eating little crunchy batter pieces. And we didn't eat it all because there were so many tiny, inedible pieces. We ordered spring rolls, veggie fried rice, and sesame chicken. The spring rolls were frozen, and heated up, so disappointed! The duck sauce tasted watered down. The fried rice had good fresh veggies in it, that was the only good thing about it. The rice itself was a very poor grain, and it tasted almost like a small millet, not rice. It also tasted like it had been soaked in a bit of soy sauce rather than fried. How does one mess up such staples of Chinese cuisine? My husband’s Sesame chicken was the best of what we ordered, but the chicken was very dry; the sauce tasted good. I decided to try this restaurant because my husband loves and wanted sesame chicken. Very disappointed. $60 for food that tasted like it came out of a freezer. The Egg rolls were not fresh. The egg drop soup was gooey. The wontons in the wonton soup had been sitting in the liquid so long they fell apart. Yuck. This was the second time I have ever eaten at Chopsticks and both times extremely bad.the I have had better General Tso’s chicken at Panda Express. The Whole family threw it in the trash.

I know I may sound very harsh but I love Chinese and Japanese food and have eaten a lot of it. This was just that disappointing and over priced.

China Kitchen in the Publix shopping center is 100 times better. It all tastes fresh and the wonton soup and the egg drop soup are made with fresh Wontons where you can...
