Judgemental environment. They dont buy all Legos like they advertise and they will offer you scraps for good pieces.
I came to your store with 24 sets 70+ Minifigures and a 10 gallon bag of mixed pieces all authentic. Something told me to only take a few items in to see how I'm treated. So brought in approximately 11 sets 8 complete however no boxes or instructions for majority. He grabs the items gives me an excuse to not stand in his face like the other customer is doing with good energy and begins. I walk around nearby because I have trust issues I'm not gonna let anyone out of my site with anything of value. Then i here him say in a sarcastic way "this must be fake" as he looks at everyone walking over to to the computer to verify that yes the mini figure that your selling online for 175 is real and is just thrown in the bag with the rest of the set. He holds it in his hand twirling it as he begins to tell me the scrap prices and that's what he could offer since there's no instructions. Then he says how I should put this mini in a case cause its worth money which I already know however I also knew that he was trying to see if he could work something out for that piece but realized he already ruined this transaction before he was halfway into it as I cut him off and said I'll pass on your scrap price offer thanks anyway... Business is Business as I'm an Investor/Entrepreneur myself with several restaurants liquidation warehouses commercial properties blah blah blah so I understand business. However I don't respect bias energy in any way as money is Green. So I assume because he seen a person such as myself tattoos etc that something was up? I do smoke but none of my collections smell of smoke that's common sense so maybe he smelled the smoke on me and assumed it was the collections? ... ... He's a kid so I didn't take it personal. I just wondered why there's nobody there who knows how to handle larger transactions respectfully? Someone who knows a business man from a scammer no matter the color or appearance? You'll made several mistakes I hope nobody has the same experience and the young man learns. Every 2 years I swap out my lego collections with new ones I have boxed I assemble display and disassemble and resale. Everything is in pristine condition no stains marks odors or missing pieces 👌🏾 Imagine what else I had if I had...
Read moreDrove 45 minutes to trade in some loose Lego bricks that I had and some lego electronics along with some other loose wheels. The box that I had weighed 5-10 pounds. All for the guy to offer me 10 dollars cash or 20 dollars store credit. I had seen on eBay that one piece I had in that box sold for 15 dollars. So I'm like ok what ever. I looked around for something around the $20 price range I had and saw they had 15% off minifigures. Cool, I found one that they had $25 on and after the 15% off it was like $21 and some change. So every other time I've been in there swaping and trading, if I was over a little they just did an even swap. So I went up to the register to get someone to pull the minifig for me and as we walked back I asked the guy again if the minifigures were indeed 15% off. He said yes they were. So we get back up to the registers and I ask the guy since the minifigure was just a dollar over the twenty trade I had if they would just do an even swap. So he asked a guy with black curly hair and glasses if we could do an even swap and the guy very rudely said No! I told you $20 and that's it. I am very disappointed that they made me pay a dollar. I was very loyal to this store and even signed up for there rewards. After this experience today I most certainly will not do business...
Read moreBeen here several times and usually have a good experience but today was different. Usually greeted by staff and everyone is very helpful but today no one said a word to us. They were busy so didn't think anything of it. My 9 year old saw the perfect Lego he wanted and was so excited about getting it. Got up to the register and the man ringing up the merch told us we couldn't buy it due to someone had already bought it online. Fine, I get it. That wasn't the full issue. The big issue was what happened next. The guy did absolutely nothing to make up for it. Stated it was the only unit and then moved on to the next customer. I've worked retail and had that exact situation happen before and it's how you handle it that makes or breaks customer interaction. If it had been an adult buying the unit, okay fine no big deal I can order it on Amazon or lego.com wasn't something that is discontinued but with it being a 9 year old, it ruined his entire day. He was looking forward to the trip all week and got emotionally invested for the 20 to 30 minutes we spent in the store.
The proper reaction from the staff would have been to help him find something else and make some form of concession to keep from upsetting the child. It's toys you are selling and there was an obvious...
