Super good food. Not so great all around. To start with the good, I thought my bowl was super great. It was brown rice and pork, and I ended up with every side item they had. At first I said no to the lentils and plantains, I just wasn't sure, nor about the pineapple. But then the guy asked again and by then I figured why not. Yeah, everything was really super good, great flavor for sure. I'll easily get it all again. The juices were also pretty good. My wife seemed to like her food too.
Here is what we didn't like. The quac was not good, I think maybe it had too much lime, and my wife thought maybe it was too sweet. It was much more of a cream and not close enough to avocado for us. Another issue is that the kids item is a cheese quesadilla, but they just heated it in a hot plate, not a normal grill or press. I would've thought that would've been fine, since our kid doesn't like things burnt, but he didn't seem to like it much. Then, worse, there are no typical sides, no chips or anything. This is ok perhaps for adults but to have nothing else but the quesadilla is a bit less than ideal, and worse for the parents that have to hear about it. Also, the juices were good, but I don't think you get free refills, and then if you want water you only get a tiny cup. I expect a movie theater with a bad business model to do this, I don't expect a restaurant to do this these days. They really need to offer some low or no calorie drink options, because you can get a lettuce bowl and eat pretty well, but then the only option is water. Finally the price feels high, especially for the kids quesadilla, but it maybe isn't too bad, I mean I have to say that the portions are quite good, and the quality really is there, for sure.
I hope this is the start of a growing restaurant and they offer more options with time, if they can just keep it alive long enough to get there. I'd definitely go back. I'd definitely get it to go and come home to have some other options, but the inside is painted with welcoming colors and is pretty clean and comfortable, so don't hesitate to...

David, thanks for taking the time to respond to my review months later. I 100% stand by what I said and the experience I had at Latin Fresh. I'm almost certain the family members you mentioned (specifically "Mom and Dad") were the same individuals who never greeted me and instead stared at me stone-faced from behind the counter while I was ordering with Juanita (who was rude).
All I received from your response was an attempt to gaslight my experience and suggest it never happened, which ironically aligns with the racial undertones I indeed experienced at Latin Fresh. Your cultural background has nothing to do with mine and the experiences had as a black consumer in this country.
I will say that my encounter was NOT with you, so it's possible that if it was, my experience (hopefully) would have been left on a better note. I have not and do not plan on returning. Take care.
Decent food, unpleasant customer experience. Each time I’ve patronized this overpriced business my experience has been uniquely rushed, rude and dismissive. No explanation with food choices and a very rude and aggressive demeanor.
I can’t help but notice as a black woman how conveniently nice and thorough the counter worker quickly becomes with white customers who have happened to be in line after me on each occasion. My fiancé has made this same observation as well. Hopefully since this is now public the racial undertones will be addressed and corrected so that EVERYONE can feel...
Read moreThis is my second visit to this restaurant. This is a nice location with ample parking.
When stepping inside you are greeted with Latin music. The inside is beautifully decorated. The décor is lively and fun.
This restaurant has a bowl concept. Also, you have an option for a wrap or taco instead of the bowl. Your first step is to pick a base which consists of White Rice, Brown Rice and Gallo Pinto (Rice & Beans). The beans are cooked with no pork, that is a plus for me. Next, you have several proteins chicken, beef, pork and fish. Then you have eleven toppings to choose form like garbanzo beans, tomatoes, etc. The pureed avocado is $2.00 extra. Lastly, there are four sauces. My favorite is the Aji, it is full of spicy goodness. You do have the option for extra base for $3.00 and protein for $6.00. I tell you this bowl was so good and tasty, much better than the first time I visited. I was so busy eating I forgot to take a picture. But next time, there will be a picture.
The drinks are drinks from different places in South and I believe Central America. The one I had was close to a blueberry, which was delicious.
All in all, my second visit was wonderful! The young lady that assisted me was very nice and helpful. I will be back and get an extra portion of that...
