DaGashi Bakes — Restaurant in Berkeley Lake

I love supporting black owned businesses and in my search to find a great bakery to order a friend's birthday cake, I stumbled across this gem. Of course, I read the reviews and they were all positive, I looked at the website and the artistry was breathtaking. The final test was to just drive over and try them out. The owner was such a beautiful spirit inside and out, that's always a plus when you're getting my business. I ordered a variety of cupcake flavors to try out as well placed an order for a birthday cake. The cupcakes were amazing, 10/10. They were very light, moist and rich in flavor. I'm not a huge fan of icing, but I was completely sold on the icing here. It wasn't overly sweet nor thick. Everyone who sampled the cupcakes gave them a 10/10. The peanut butter chocolate was hands down, the best peanut butter chocolate cupcake I've ever had. Our variety included: red velvet, key lime, strawberry ice cream, salted caramel, carrot cake, and the peanut butter chocolate; they were all amazingly delicious. I will definitely be returning and I highly recommend trying them out. I can't wait to try the birthday cake flavors of DaGashi's signature and white chocolate raspberry this week. I know it will be awesome. I will edit with an update on the cake.

Update on the cake: AMAZING! Both flavors were unique in their own respect. The birthday girl was pleased and the entire cake was gone within minutes of cutting...

Thank you so much for the amazing cake. It was everything we wanted and it tasted really delicious. it was brilliant and very nice. We were very pleased with both how it looked and tasted. Everyone in the gathering knows your cakes are fantastic and look forward to having a piece. I sincerely hope we have more reasons to celebrate soon so that we can have more of your delicious cakes. And lastly, another important piece that kept us coming is your warm customer service. I would not trade that for anything. I dropped by in a pinch looking for a few cupcakes for an impromptu birthday celebration. DaGashi DELIVERED!!!! I am a snob about baked goods and prefer not to buy if I can help it.

Whew. Goodness. Have mercy. These cupcakes are the best baked goods I have ever purchased from anywhere.

I purchased the red velvet, vanilla, and confetti flavored cupcakes. They were the perfect texture, they were appropriately moist, not too sweet...just perfect everything.

The bakery is in a plaza I have been in for all sorts of reasons—eyebrow threading, package store, and more—I never saw it before. I will not...
