“Team Ten” might need to go back to the drawing board.
Let’s start with this: when the most convenient parking option for your night out is across the street in a graveyard, it sets a tone — somewhere between foreboding and funeral procession. Unfortunately, that mood lingered through the entire meal.
First Impressions
Walking in, the place carries a nostalgic charm. Vintage movie posters dot the walls, and a cheeky nod to Friday the 13th — the “Voorhees Meat Market” stationed by the grill — adds a fun touch. Someone clearly had a vision for the decor. Unfortunately, the food and service didn’t get the same attention.
The Meal: Cold, Canned, and Confused
I ordered the strip steak with a side of beer mushrooms. Originally, I asked for the mushrooms as an appetizer, but was told “too many guests didn’t like them on their own.” I soon understood why.
The mushrooms, served alongside the steak, had a cheap beer tang that overwhelmed the dish. It was puzzling, especially since they have Guinness on tap — a reduced stout would’ve deepened the flavor instead of this flat, tinny mess. Light beer in a steakhouse mushroom dish? Come on.
The steak itself was a letdown. Despite having a surprisingly decent crust, it was cold, undercooked, unseasoned, and topped with a sad, barely melted pat of “seasoned” butter. The cut was tender and well-marbled, but even a good piece of meat can’t carry itself when the kitchen doesn’t show up.
Sides weren’t any better: • Loaded baked potato: More of a DIY project. You get a potato and a trio of plastic cups — shredded cheese, sour cream, and what I swear were deep-fried bacon bits. • Butter beans: Straight from the can, and barely warm enough to bother with. • Portion sizes: Small enough to question the price, but still somehow managed to feel like too much, given how bland everything was.
Drinks & Service
We sat at the bar, which might’ve spared us from full disaster. Our bartender/server was polite, quick, and one of the few bright spots of the night. Meanwhile, other servers were visibly avoiding eye contact and ducking into corners, which didn’t inspire much confidence.
The bar’s cocktail list was slim, and the back bar selection looked like it was stocked via gas station clearance bin. For a place presenting itself as a premium steakhouse, it fell short by a mile.

Final Take
Henry’s Team Ten Steakhouse might win points for nostalgia and concept — but execution is everything. What we got was a cold steak, canned sides, and an overpriced reminder that a good vibe can’t carry a bad kitchen.
They may call themselves a team, but nobody was playing to...
Read moreWe waited a little while longer than some others before visiting, to give the staff time to adjust to open this new business. We love supporting new businesses and understand that new restaurants take a little while to get into the swing of things…
We were pleasantly surprised!!!
Pros: We ordered the Redfish Taco dinner that came with 3) grilled Red Fish, avocado slices, topped with pico de gallo and a spicy comeback type sauce wrapped in a soft taco, with a side of sweet potato fries, sprinkled with a cinnamon brown sugar on them. Very good meal and very good portion size!
We also ordered a 12oz Ribeye, cooked medium, that had a great crust on the outside and pink on the inside. Ribeye had a great flavor and was a plentiful portion. Side item was a large “loaded baked potato” but was actually just butter and grated cheese in a small plastic cup. I would recommend the potato to be prepared by the kitchen as an actual “loaded baked potato” with bacon crumbles as an option instead of having only cheese and butter.
Our waitress was extremely nice and attentive and checked on us several times for refills or anything else she could bring. We were very impressed with the service.
Cons: Not much inside seating for waiting guests and it can be very hot outside. There were many people who were standing in the entrance way or were waiting outside in the heat.
I would recommend the owners take down a table or two at the entrance and add seating for waiting guests.
At this point, their parking is somewhat limited and when it’s busy, there needs to be additional parking spaces. The owners are aware of this issue and working to resolve the parking issue.
Overall, we were pleasantly surprised an we will certainly visit again!
I would certainly...
Read moreI went to TeamTen twice in one weekend, partly because there is nowhere to really eat in the Brandon area but also because our first experience was very pleasant and exceeded expectations. I’ll try to be as detailed as I can because I do want this restaurant to succeed, it is such a breath of fresh air for the area!
Good: Food was fantastic. I wish there were more burger options than what’s on the menu versus the other handheld items because the burger was so tasty. Steaks were phenomenal. Extremely tender and well cooked, and also just great cuts of beef. The aesthetic and atmosphere is so unique and refreshing, the charcoal grill inside the actual restaurant was such a good idea and the decor and colors really add a nice touch. So well done.
Now Bad: Service. Our first service was fine, she wasn’t too friendly but she was busy and got our food and drinks in to us quick despite the busy service. The second was a bit lackluster, our food took forever and our server was often inattentive. I know these things take training, so I’m not gonna bash it. So far I’ve tried 3 drinks from the speciality menu and I’m not sure if the bartender is inexperienced and just making them wrong or not, but 2 of 3 have almost been just straight liquor.
The foundation of this restaurant is fantastic and I hope it becomes a fixture of the area, it’s such a good vibe with great food. Please...
