Love eating here, me and mom have been going here since the 90s. We started requesting Carlos because he is so nice and attentive. Some of the other waiters and waitresses are good or fine but we prefer him. Food is always great, they mess up rarely and if they do they are quick to fix it. My favorite is the tacos ole with spicy chicken soup, the cheese enchiladas are great as well. The queso dip with beef is great, but has been a tiny bit on the watery side a few times, not this last time tho. The chips are by far the best i have ever eaten, they are mostly super thin and i love that. The red sauce is my favorite also i come sometimes to get some chips and sauce to go only.
Update 9/28/2023 Love their food but their queso has gotten watery and also last time i asked for beef on it and it was mostly beef and barely any queso wont be buying their queso no more. Also i used love their chips but last few weeks or so they have gotten thicker and not as good as they used to be. I dont know if they changed recipes of chips or what. But they are not that good anymore and for these 2 reasons i took away a 2 stars. if they bring back my good thin chips ill give the stars back. I used to look forward to the chips and salsa so much and the salsa is still good but the not so good chips have almost ruined it for me. :(. It may be harsh but the chips and salsa is a main reason i love this place and the chips have been so bad. Last time a few of them were wet.
Update: 5/2/2025 Love their food, but had issues with the salsa taste consistency same with chip thickness. I like the thin chips sometimes they are thicker. The salsa has been too spicy couple times for me or salt or weird. Its been good lately i just wish they trained the cooks to make things the same. Food is always good, onions and peppers on fajitas needs to be grilled more. We always ask for Carlos he is the best Waiter by far.Their new payment system is weird lol because u have to pay with waiter but if u have money on their rewards card u have to do it up front. And u still have to get ur points up front even tho u pay with the waiter. Not sure what management was thinking lol
Btw this location doesnt do double...
Read moreMe and my husband are new to pearland we have pass this restaurant on our way home a couple times. We finally decided to give this place a try and we were very disappointed. Staff here was not very friendly. We only received one menu. Their was no beverage/alcohol menu, or even a QR code for reference. The waiter Inform what look to be the manager. As he pointed to our table . After 10 mints of looking, he came back an inform us that their was no menu but they have everything what do we want. I order a margarita. Waiter left so fast. He did not let us order a Appetizer or dip. After another 10 mints he came around and took the Order of the table that been seated after us. Left and came back after about 5 mints he came around and said if we are ready after almost 20 mints of being seated at our table. Finally we order and received our food. From what look like the same manager who looked at us about the drink menu. Which she didn’t mention at all. Our drink already empty did not ask if we like something else. My husband order his enchiladas with double rice no beans and they came with beans. My wrap had pico even Thoe I did not want any. After waiter did not come back to the table. He made eye contact a couple time with us an a couple tables an he just walked way. Food was actually pretty good. Honestly would not be coming back here with the service that was provided even if the food was good. I have been a general manager for restaurant for more than 10 years and this service was definitely-5 stars. I don’t normally rate places but this felt as they need it. Our ticket said the waiters name was David C . Not sure that’s his name since they do not have name tags. The manager on site was about 5 ft tall with dark hair, kinda chunky and wearing a green shirt. Not sure what her name was. This happen Saturday 10-3-2020 at...
Read moreAnyone who grew up in the 90’s in Houston should know how good Casa Ole is and how irreplaceable it is on the greater scheme of Tex Mex food.
I have yet to find a restaurant that can beat their cheese enchiladas, something so simple you would think, but I have yet to see it replicated even close. Even trying to make it myself at home. This also applies to the green sauce.
The worst part is I see more and more Casa Oles disappearing from the landscape, and this is nothing short of a tragedy. I live in the medical center and I will drive all the way out to Pearland to get my food.
This one in particular is the closest you will get to that time in the 90’s and like a unicorn it should be preserved and venerated for what it is, lest it be a memory of a time long gone. They do it correctly.
The staff is nice and you get that small town feel at this location in particular and the food is perfection. The prices are excellent as well.
If any of this resonates with you then you should definitely give this location your patronage and pass it down a generation and hopefully this chain will make a comeback in our city.
The purpose for a lot of my reviews is to give a roadmap for people to follow to create their own version of home, these places are mine and here for...
