I recently had the pleasure of calling Magnolia Cajun Comfort to arrange a special birthday dinner for my wife, including her favorite dessert - bread pudding. Not only did they deliver an exceptional bread pudding, but they also crafted an entire menu that surpassed my expectations.
The attention to detail and thoughtfulness of the staff at Magnolia Cajun Comfort made the whole process effortless for me. From the moment I reached out to them, they took charge, allowing me to focus on enjoying the company of my wife and friends, rather than being consumed by the planning and execution of the meal.
The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the bread pudding. It was prepared to perfection, with just the right balance of sweetness and a luscious, creamy texture. The flavors were rich and comforting, making it the ultimate indulgence for any dessert lover. Magnolia Cajun Comfort truly nailed this classic dish and made my wife's birthday extra special with their skilled creation.
In addition to the bread pudding, the entire menu was a delightful surprise. The flavors and aromas of traditional Cajun cuisine permeated the evening, leaving everyone satisfied and impressed. The variety of dishes catered to all taste preferences, ensuring that everyone in our party found something to enjoy.
The service provided by Magnolia Cajun Comfort was exceptional. The staff was attentive, professional, and ensured that all our needs were met throughout the evening. They went above and beyond to accommodate any dietary restrictions or preferences, ensuring that everyone felt included and satisfied.
Overall, my experience with Magnolia Cajun Comfort was outstanding. From their extraordinary bread pudding to the thoughtfully crafted menu, they exceeded my expectations in every way. Their attention to detail, exceptional flavors, and top-notch service made for an unforgettable celebration. I highly recommend Magnolia Cajun Comfort to anyone seeking an authentic Cajun dining experience and a stress-free event...
Read moreOnly eaten here once. It seems to be trying for too much at once. Maybe slim the menu and decide if you want to be fancy louisiana fast food or something with a bit more panache. Making cajun fries sides for everything does not help.
Entrees are 16-25ish bucks, and are largish, but they were still kinda meh. One kid got a burger, the other a boudin grilled cheese. Both were fine but the boudin seemed to lack some punch. I got fried shrimp and catfish - both were fine but lacked anything that set them apart (other than they were not over cooked as you see too often with fried seafood). Possibly the best taste of the night came from chicken fried steak, which tasted great with the andouille gravy. So we didn't order so much cajun from this cajun place, I've had my heart broken too many times to make that mistake out of the gate.
Also worthy of mention, they made numerous mistakes in making and serving the food. They were all corrected, but I hated getting up and having to go get it fixed... again... and again. My wife also noted that when they were bussing the outside tables they simply cleared the plates and did not wipe off the table. Indeed when we looked more closely at our table (this right after we sat down) there was food on it too. I said something and they came and wiped the table... So I guess that was four things I had to talk to them about, actually.
To be honest I'm not sure I'll be back to try the cajun. Maybe. I guess...
Read moreNot great. The atmosphere was nice. It's a small place but nice and clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Service was good. The food not so much. This place is not cheap by any means. The food is a little on the pricey side. My wife and I went for the first time tonight. We had 2 cups of sausage and chicken gumbo and that was the highlight of the meal. It tasted like gumbo, not better and not worse than any other gumbo I've had. It was short on rice. I am used to gumbo poured over rice. The entrée was chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and crawfish etouffee. The chicken fried chicken was below average quality, Cajun style battered sitting on top of the mashed potatoes. We've had better at any number of restaurants. The chicken was actually a bit dry if you can imagine. The crawfish etouffee was lacking flavor, the crawfish were tiny and the rice underneath was hard, like it had been sitting around for a while. I ended up looking around for some spices to add some flavor. my choice was tabasco or salt and pepper. I added some salt and that made it a little better. Overall I was disappointed based on the price I paid I would have expected higher quality and better flavor. I probably would not visit again as there are tons of other cajun places that deliver better quality at the same or...
