came here yesterday and the place was empty. it was beautiful in the inside though the low lighting and fancy furniture makes me think this place is made for dinner. ive been to the webster location years ago and it was good so i thought this place would be good but it was the worst ever. fancy dishes with flowers on them never indicate no good
my mom ordered the chicken ramen. ive had lots of ramen spots before so i was excited to taste the ramen here. the ramen tasted disgusting, the broth i dont even want to call it broth but tasted like toilet water… the broth looked like it was made with just water and a few splashes of oil for color. the noodles were different. but nothing at all special about the ramen. the ramen i had here was the worst ramen i had in my life. no flavor the chicken chunks were ridiculous as well. the only thing that was flavor was the damn bamboo shoots but that was it.. the ramen looks unappetizing and disgusting.
i got the Singapore noodle and it was decent. i dont have nothing to complain about that it was good the shrimp was big and also had chicken chunks that were pretty dry.
i also got the sampler basket thing and it consisted of a few appetizers on the menu. i feel like that was pretty decent too, the potstickers did taste like they were made by hand.
the service wasn’t really servicing, i had an empty water and they never really asked to fill it up. its funny my mom left all her ramen and the waiter never asked if she liked it. the waiter never came by after taking our order and i understand if it gets busy but there was only one other table that was it. we were seated right next to the door where the waiters were both at but wasn’t very attentive..
ive had other asian restaurants before but this one needs improvement less on decor and more towards the menu. remton in Webster was great but give us justice in pearland for more decent asian food especially if you have something other than Vietnamese food make sure you make it properly or else dont even...
Read moreCame to visit for Houston restaurant week for the worst curry I've ever had, barely a step above canned beef soup. After a long day at work and they missed almost every mark, disapointing. Was seated at the bar which was disorganized, plates napkins and utensils were not initially offered until I reminded the staff.
I wanted a enjoy a nice plate of Japanese style beef curry and a Japanese high ball (whiskey and soda with lemon spritzed and garnished) The Houston restaurant week offering was $46 and if that was their best shot I would run away.
The well dressed bartender looked at me like a deer in headlights when I asked for a high ball and extremely basic cocktail and when the manager came while looking at her phone while preparing it still messed it up. The lemon was not garnished instead put into the drink and was not spritzed. This was an astounding robbery of $11 of my hard earned money.
Then the curry came as seen attached. What an utter disappointment it was a step above beef stew but nowhere near even boxed curry cubes. It was just cooked rough cuts of beef with carrots carelessly assembled unflavorful broth instead of a rich, creamy robust curry with the bare minimum of some carrots added with diced shitake mushrooms. They didn't offer onions, potatoes, or pickled ginger or green...
Read moreWe decided to check out Remton after church today because, you know… Sunday vibes call for good food 😎⛪. The reviews looked promising, so why not? And let me tell you this place did not disappoint.
When we arrived, it was almost empty (bonus points for no wait time 🙌). The aesthetic was on point...clean, cozy, and cute. Think date-worthy but also perfect for a “let’s just grab a bite” moment. There’s a sleek little bar and even a wine fridge that just whispers “treat yourself.”
The drink menu had everything from cocktails to Vietnamese coffee, basically something for everyone. The food menu was just as solid. We kicked things off with the garlic edamame, and honestly… that flavor had me ready to fight someone if they took the last pod 😏🫛.
I went for the spicy chicken ramen, a nice kick but nothing that would make you cry (unless you’re dramatic like me). My boyfriend got the pork vermicelli bowl, and the portion was perfect for his big appetite. He did mention he could have used a bit more meat, but that didn’t slow him down one bit.
We stuck to waters this time (I know, who even are we?), but next time the cocktails are fair game 🍸. Overall, this spot’s a yes from us. Cute vibe, good food, great service. We’ll be back and bringing friends.
