Rocko's Dive Bar & Texas Kitchen — Restaurant in Pearland

2/21/25 update: clutches family jewels Girlllll came in on a Friday afternoon and got the grilled cheese and the pulled pork sliders and omg… not to mention I saw they had Blantons, double pour with a large cube for $21!? Awesome… love it here!

Soooooo… Rocko’s has been blowing up on the Pearland Facebook groups and they’ve been really positive. So after messing around and checking the menu and seeing how good it looks, I decided to give it a try.

Good selection of basic beers that you’d expect from Lone Star to Yuengling to the variety of Mexican Lagers to your variety of seltzers and ciders. Specials on fireball, skrewball and rumple shots. Super happy I was able to get my favorite chill beer, Coors Banquet.

We already had dinner so we didn’t plan to eat much but that Dumptruck Fries looked too good to pass up. So we got em… and… well.. damn. They were good. Good enough to make me want to explore more of the menu. The friends we came with had the Mumbai Chicken Tenders and they said they were good.

Not really a complaint, because I don’t expect a brand new place to open up and be running at 100%. But with popularity they will need an increase in bar staff. Slight delay here and there when ordering drinks but Rocko was doing a good job with trying to keep up. Had to wait 5 mins tops. Just a recommendation for the future when you guys get more butts in seats. Another piece of feedback is that when our food was ready we couldn’t really hear our names be called out. We assumed because it was about the right time and the order seemed like ours but I had to walk over and check the receipt to see if it was us. This is petty stuff but it’s just feedback so y’all can be the best! We’ll definitely be back to have more...

Everything about this place is amazing. Bartenders make great drinks and are friendly. Rocko and Mama T make a point to welcome and visit with patrons. The food is super original and always on point. They rotate in new menu items as seasonal specials, eg, Lent dishes, and do discounts many nights of the week like whiskey and wings Wednesdays. Personal faves are the dumptruk fries, crystal beach destination wedding tacos, sweet baby grilled cheesus and pickled pineapple piggies. They have darts, shuffleboard and get-together games you can take to your table. They’ve recently started hosting live music on Sundays. The ambiance is definitely divey yet next-level, launching Rocko’s into uncharted territory. I’m lucky enough to live nearby but I’d definitely drive from Houston or other burbs just to come here. This place is clearly a labor of love for Rocko and Mama T and their originality is a welcome change...

Small place but the food is tasty , the atmosphere is fun , we met Theresa , Rebecca and Rocko there are no strangers in the place ! Drinks are drinks - if you don’t like yours let Rebbeca know and she will make it right - they aren’t completely set up but plan on a Grand opening in February- they aren’t a sports bar but do have Two TV’s. One had the college game and the other Pirates of the Caribbean, something for everyone!! The grilled cheese sandwich is amazing They offer a veggie tray for the lite eaters , even have a PBJ if you just can’t decide what to get !! lol Fun place , friendly atmosphere check it out...
