We went there mainly for the south indian dishes but idli, vada and dosa were NOT tasty for a "Bangalore based" restaurant. Sambar was very spicy, could not use as a dip for vadas or idlis. So the next time we went we ordered Jain north Indian gravies with rotis (since they ran out of Naan). However, when they saw more people coming to dine, they served (after 1 hour) only 4 rotis saying they cannot give us more when they actually took an order from us for 8.Totally unprofessional! I wonder if they ran out of wheat flour for another 4 rotis! The Jain gravies, however, tasted wonderful.
Another thing we noticed was - they did NOT have everything they had on the menu card. It was disappointing when you see so many nice items on the menu but only a few that the chef could manage that day. I think they should stick to a menu card or a simple black board that says "that day's specials" or something so the customers will know what to expect.
Overall, we see a lot of areas for improvement. The south Indian dishes are not worth the $$ paid. They could hire more staff to handle the Miami crowd rather than "cutting down" on the dishes the...
Read moreMy friend and I were hungry and passed by this spot. It’s definitely a hidden gem in the middle of a plaza. At first glance, it seems like a regular restaurant but we decided to trust the menu and make an order for take out. We ordered 2 orders of garlic naan which was probably the best naan I’ve ever had. It was so fluffy and delicious! We also ordered the chicken korma and the chicken karahi, which to our surprise was UNBELIEVABLY AMAZING.
Everything was filled with the right spices and flavors that will make your mouth water. We also accompanied it with some white basmati rice and made everything else come together. The only employee in the restaurant was extremely nice and was running the whole place himself. He made our food come out fresh and fast, which the food was still super hot when we brought it home. Support these small businesses! The value and prices are so great, we didn’t spend over $50 for indian food unlike other places that we usually spend $80 for two meals. Thank you Bangalore!...
Read moreHere is the deal with this place guys. I will be honest like I m always with my reviews. This place has best pakistani food. Specially chicken karahi and boneless handi, no question about it. Taste, quantity and quality. Awesome. Now let's talk about ambience, service, location, decor and image. Very very questionable, to say the least. This shop is in the corner of a shady strip mall. Front door doesn't want to open. Every table is different from other. Usually one person serves and cooks. You have to not only seat yourself, but also grab a menu and wave down someone to place your order. BUT GUESS WHAT??? that's what you call a DHABA. A hole in the wall place with amazing food. If you have a date to take somewhere, looking to impress co-workers or taking in laws out for dinner, this is not your place. If you want good food I mean good food and very good price, come here. Come one, come all. Have a ball and leave full looking to take your cholesterol medication. Love the food and will be going...
