Las Vegas Cuban Cuisine — Restaurant in Pembroke Pines

So I’ve been going to this Las Vegas on and off for years now, my initial review was great because I’ve always received good portions and great tasting food. I do not know what happened today. I normally never had to check my food leaving Las Vegas because they were always consistent so I didn’t check it before I left today. I ordered picadillo . As you can see it’s half full as if someone ate out of it and I can assure I didn’t, I took it out of the bag like this. The Moro rice is supposed to be the side. There’s twice as much rice as picadillo . It always was the opposite. Everytime I previously ordered the picadillo it always came with black beans in addition, the bread even looks eaten off and soggy. Plantains hard and not sweet at all. I am extremely disappointed in Las Vegas. I received a response to my previous good review telling me that I am welcome any time and this is home. Home does not serve you like this. 15 dollars for this. Obviously something has changed so I’m not sure I’ll be returning, receiving an order like this. I’ve spent a lot of money at this location and this is shocking because I trusted after years of giving Las Vegas my business. Very disappointed. In addition when I called the person that answered showed no compassion. I wanted to speak to a manager but said bring it back and then was just like sorry..I had just got off work, I work in Pembroke Pines close to the location. I live deep in Ft Lauderdale, there was no way I was going to drive all the way back down there. I give accurate reviews and I hate bad service, and believe in getting my moneys worth. Not sure was it me or was the waitress having a day but worst waitress I've ever had at a restaurant. Forgot her name. Older lady with a very horsy voice. Came in cause my gfriend suggested this had some really great fish. From the start she was VERY pushy as to what I should get. Asked about the fish she said the whole red Snapper was not big enough for the price (cool). So I opted to try something different. While waiting on my friend the waitress didn't come by with anything drinks that I ordered, no utensils, nothing. Me and my friends finally decided we wanted to order our food couldn't find our waitress instead another lady we flag Down to help us. Very nice lady I forget her name also. Younger Latina lady, she took our order and brought us water etc etc. What really got me upset here finally was after dinner when we were leaving our waitress finally popped up. We met her at the front because I had Apple Pay to use the machine. I had already left her a $10 at the table regardless because I thought the younger lady was getting it. Anyway the pushy lady had the nerve after I had paid to ask me continously for tip. As if it was by force I had to tip. I told her the tip was on on table. She had to go check before she was give me copy of my receipt. Who does tha???!!!?. Definitely wouldn't recommend this place. Seriously weird vibe. Ok so let me tell you about this restaurant right here😁 Not the fanciest building, in fact it's overdue for remodeling. But the hosts are very welcoming as you enter. This was my first time visiting but I was with a large group who had all visited numerous of times and I found out why. The servers were excellent. The two we had were very attentive to the table and our dining needs. My brother began to remove his to give to my sister because she was cold and the gentleman servers ( wish I could remember his name) helped my brother remove his jacket and walked it around the table and assisted my sister in putting it on. The cutlery was so shiny we could see ourselves reflect. But there was one little saucer on the table as we arrived that somehow had a smudged black spot on it and the server didn't allow my son to sit in the chair until it was removed and another clean one brought back to the table. The impression was a great touch.. It wasn't long before bread baskets and water goblets were filled. And our order was taken. The servers were very hospitable and knew the menu thoroughly. We were celebrating my brother's graduation and it happened that another family was celebrating the same occasion. Both graduates got a free shot of alcohol and a round of applause from the staff.
