Ok, not sure if I am out of line here but here goes! Their food is good but their customer service is terrible. It can affect both phone, online and uber eats. I have ordered in the past without problems. This time, I ordered on uber eats which I have ordered from them before. I ordered before on uber eats. I decided to order something different, a salad that had some avocado and almonds/ pecan mix. I'm allergic to almonds ( and I love almonds though it's only a small rash!). I split the salads with my wife who likes avocado and the almonds/pecans. I don't so I had them remove it in the app. What it doesn't allow you to do put some notes on the side though other uber eat stores do. I wanted the avocado and almonds/pecans on the side so my wife can have them. I called the store and the phone rang forever when using the option (other). I called back and pressed 1 for order on the phone. In about 10 rings, someone answered and said they would put me on hold and come back to me. This is no joke, I waited 15 minutes ( proof is on my phone) and no one ever came back. I called again and this time, no one picked up. I just wanted what I paid for on the side. Sorry, but that is terrible service for a $24.00 plus tip ($34.00 total). Why can't they just put an options box on the order like other stores? It makes me think twice about ordering from them again. I know that employees in this business don't mKe a fortune but I got my start in the late 70s working in the food service industry and I never treated a customer based on my hourly pay. I took each job I have ever had seriously and always provided excellent customer service. If I would have left a customer hanging back then, I would have been told off or worse, fired. This is a management problem as their employees have obviously been not...
Read moreThis was based on a very different experience we had than the prior one in Coconut Creek. First, the personnel taking order were very efficient with good communication in placing order, taking order, and accommodations. However, once I had to get refund for not giving tip for this since we were not eating in, I am wondering how it could be that another Carrot Express did a superior job on the wrap that we chose on both places. First, it was burning hot and turned out that it was like rubber and chewy so that indicated overcooked by microwave since it stayed hot for longer even when it was uncovered for several minutes. I subbed extra avocado for the brown rice which I did not want. A small piece of avocado was on this wrap with Mahi Mahi Wrap, also, pickled ginger instead of pico de gallo. At Coconut Creek, few days prior to eating here, we ordered the Mahi Mahi wrap and it was stupendous…such a shame that franchises can be so different and have such a drastic difference in quality! We will leave our choice to choosing Carrot Express when we visit Promenade rather than the one at...
Read moreAt Carrot Express, they’re not just slinging salads. They’re setting a new standard of excellence, and crafting a quiet rebellion against the sludge of mediocrity that passes for ‘healthy eating’ these days. This Mediterranean Herb Salad, modified to precision, arrived like a zen koan on a plate: no feta, clean grilled chicken, olive oil and lemon standing in for the usual sugary dressing sins. The kale and quinoa had the right bite, the chicken wasn’t an afterthought—it was the main act. Daniela ran the front like a maestro, with Connie backing her up like the kind of sous chef you want in the trenches. Five out of five, not because they’re trying to impress, but because they actually give a damn. That’s rare. That’s worth...
